class was the biggest waste of my time at Transy. The class is annoyingly difficult but not because it is intellectually challenging: the tests are longer than any test I've taken at Transy including my level 3 courses (this is an intro course) and the guidelines are extremely vague. Assignments are "fillers" and tedious. do not take his classes.

Gary is really great at bringing out a discussion. He was a great intorduction to Transy and what an LA education is about. Everyone should take at least one of his classes while on campus.

Gary is one of the brightest and most insightful professors I've had at Transy. He brings clarity and a deep understanding of the material to the classroom, while remaining dynamic and engaging. His anecdotal style adds applicability and character to the classroom atmosphere. If you cant learn from him, you are doing something seriously wrong.

Gary Deaton is an experience to be had at Transy, but it is more of a right of passage than an actual intellectual experience. He is known for canceling classes weekly, getting off topic, and making it easy to skip any class. This seemed appealing at first but towards the end of the semester I was really put off with it.
