Comment:

Good math teacher. Was a prior HS math teacher and will spend extra time with you until you understand the concept. His tests are fairly hard and timed. the timing on his test can be a little short.

Comment:

Gary tries to make the class interesting, which is nice. However, his lectures get tediously long and he doesn't give breaks. His exams are difficult and he usually hands them out the second half of class... so you have to listen to him lecture about new material before. I would only recommend him if you have taken a prior Calculus class.

Comment:

Both Math 175 and 176 are really interesting, but the material can get a bit tough, and Gary expects you to learn a lot on your own. He still does discuss a lot in class, but a lot of the work is done on your own. I would especially suggest taking these classes with Gary if you're confident in your math skills because then it's a breeze.

One of my favorite professors to date. He makes learning the concepts behind math fun. Plenty of prop use too which is awesome since the people in this class will eventually be teaching young kids. I highly recommend taking Prof. Luck's class(es).

Gary is such an awesome teacher! He's extremely helpful and very clear. He always makes sure we have the best possible chance at getting an A on an exam by telling us exactly what is going to be on the exam.

Gary Luck is a good teacher, he makes sure we understand the concrete interpretation rather than the general math. Attend to class, do your homework, seek help when needed, you should pass the class with no problem just put effort and you'll do fine or great, depending on who you are.

Gary Luck is a great teacher! He is very clear and explains everything! He will give you extra help or explanations anytime (because he cares how well you do!!) Come to class, do your homework and you'll do good! You are able to do corrections on the exams to gain back lost points! Take his class!

Great teacher/lecturer. Is a full-time HS math teacher so has a better attitude towards students than other math "professors". Does expect a lot from you but is very approachable and will go out of his way to help
