Dr. Bendiner is the chair of the Art History dept and he is THE reason that you come to UWM to study art history, period! I heard a rumor that my Fall 2013 class was the last that he'll ever teach, which I pray isn't true. This man knows everything there is to know not only about art but about history at large. Funny, witty, sardonic. THE best!

Hilarious guy, it's amazing how many different accents he's able to use in his lectures! Straightforward, exams were not difficult if you attend class and know how to study. It did seem like he wasn't really open to students opinions, but still, i'd definitely recommend this professor.

Easily one of the best professors I've had. He's hilarious and really knows his material. He gives an incredible amount of material to memorize for tests, but like someone mentioned, they're multiple choice. I agree he's not a great listener. He is pretty dapper though.

He's hilarious, very ironic, and not afraid to make some controversial comments in order to get a point made. The midterms are mostly multiple choice- how much easier does that get? He's not really hot, but he does wear nice sweater vests that make him look dapper.

Very interesting and engaging lecture. Every seat was filled, every lecture. Exams were a little rough... lots of memorizing many many works of art. His personality really makes up for that.
