In the beginning, he will mostly scare out of you but if you actually appreciate him he is a really nice man. Grades are generally depend on participation, essays (including final), and essay tests. Beware that tests/assignments are DIFFICULT. Also he doesn't really follow the syllabus and you always have to ASK or else you'll miss the deadline.

Dr. Wilson is by far one of my favorite teachers. Most people will not understand his humor, but if you really listen to what he is saying you'll appreciate the lessons a lot more. All of his tests came straight from the textbooks, and 3 out of 4 of the tests were take home. Definitely changed the way I view religious scripture and philosophy.

dr wilson was the best teacher ive had at gwynedd. he is so intimidating and then you learn its his humor and how to joke back with him. he taught me to be a better writer. loved him!

continued... he went to gwynedd himself. I honestly, came on here and did not want to take this professor for the ratings and reasons on here, but honestly, he is the nicest man ever - and is so helpful and once you get to know him, you will be laughing out loud in class. the semester isn't over yet, but i really do reccommed him =)

Dr. Wilson scared me to death on the first day, and I almost dropped his class. I am very happy that I decided to stay though. I am a stronger and more professional writer thanks to his class. If you are looking for pablum...this is not the class for you.

You should be so fortunate as to have the opportunity to learn from one of the few professors who has chosen not to insult students with pathetically elementary assignments and boring lectures. He gives the most confusing lectures that get so far off the point and dont prepare you for the tests. Makes up grades with no basis. Ridiculously long, confusing test questions. Doesn't even come close to following his own syllabus, couldn't get the one paper we had to do graded in time to hand back. Honestly the worst professor i've ever had.
