Dr. Liu is a wonderful teacher! He writes everything out on the board and posts all class notes online. You must pay attention. His accent gets in the way and is hard to understand occasionally. You don't have to do all of the homework, but you must study for the tests. No notes or formulas sheets allowed.

Dr. Liu is a good professor, his accent isn't really that heavy. I don't care for math at all, but I understand everything he teaches and have gotten A's on almost everything. The only downside of this class is that he can be so thorough that it becomes slightly boring at 8:00 in the morning.

Great prof. He explains things very well and well you might have trouble understanding him, he writes EVERYTHING down. Took Calc 2 and got a B. His tests were like 10 questions, so not a lot! also get used to hearing what 300 times a day from him. Would take again!

Dr. Liu is easily the best math teacher I have ever had. I am absolutely terrible in math, but have gotten an A in his class two semesters. Yes, he does have an accent, but he writes everything on the board, which he posts on his website. Tests are the exact same as the review, but with the numbers slightly different. It's a super easy class.

Comment:

Thick accent but he explains everything. Watch his body language, when he tends to slow down he will purposefully make a mistake in the problem to make sure the class is paying attention. Very helpful and only grades come from the quizes and online homework. Highly recommended.

Dr Lou (loc dogg) was awsome. He takes his time teaching the old guys and gals how to do math again. He's quiet natured but has a great sence of humor, and not a bad freestyle rapper. like all classes you can only pass if you apply yourself but youll have fun doing it with Dr Lou.

This guy is a genius! He was very hard to understand at first but after a few classes, I could understand him with no problem. He has a great sense of humor as well so he kept us laughing a good bit. Great guy, great teacher. I would absolutely recommend him!

At first I didn't think I would like the class due to not being able to understand him. I actually thought about switching but I'm glad I stayed. After a few classes you can understand him better and he is a great teacher. You don't have homework to turn in. Your only grades are from the quizzes online and the class exams. Highly recommend him.

A very good instructor dispite his accent. Only ignorant people not willing to adjust to his accent will have problems (He writes EVERYTHING on the board anyways...) Not a lot of homework, but still relevant and helpful. All test questions are taken from homework. Attend class, take easy notes, do homework and you will pass. I reccomend him.

Took DE & CAL3 together. Accent is aggravating, but you will adjust. He teaches some formula?s using his methods; you must follow them, if you don't he will count points off on your test. He should write his own math books to use as a reference. Don't take these courses together if you plan on taking other courses/if you plan on having a life.

Comment:

Took Calc3 and Differential Equations with him. Yes he has a big accent but got used to it after a few classes. Only grades in both class were tests, 3 tests and a final. Overall not a bad teacher but uses different method from book a number of times,making it hard to reference book for help. Would probably recommend him to others.

He has a really strong accent, but that doesn't matter. He writes everything down on the board and asks repeatedly if you have any questions. He goes over problems over and over in different ways to make sure you completely understand. If your not good at math at all TAKE HIM. Makes it very easy and there is not much work involed.

Dr. Liu is amazing. I don't care what anyone says about his accent, he writes everything and I mean everything down so there's no reason you can't get it. He is patient with you if you have a question and he says upfront that if you have a hard time understanding him that he won't take it personally if you switch classes. Loves it!

Dr. Liu is the best math teacher i've ever had! He is so smart and such a great teacher. he's a little hard to understand at first, but he writes everything on the board that you need to know, several times. If you don't skip class and do all of the hw and reviews, it's easy to get an A. take notes and ask questions, you'll just love him.

If you are a math genious. Take this man. If you have been away from math for awhile AVOID AT ALL COSTS. He goes way too fast, and expects you to know all the rules of math before you set down. He doesn't speak clearly, and it doesn't get any better. I managed an A in this class, but only because I spent at least two hours on my own after class
