Comment:

Adult student here who had not been in a math class for 15+ years. Math is what kept me out of school all these years. Prof Reed was a wonderful teacher. If you pay attention and do the assignments you will have no trouble passing. I am awful at math and I actually passed with an A. Most of the students not taking it seriously did not do well.

Comment:

Mr. Reed is the best professor at AC! I had him for pre-cal and cal 1. Pre-cal was very easy in comparison to cal 1. I wouldn't recommend missing class, otherwise you will fall behind. I had to get help outside of class several times in cal-1 and he was always willing to help me! He is very funny and will try his best to help you understand!

Comment:

Prof. Reed is very good at demonstrating steps to each problem. He spends as much time as necessary to ensure any questions are answered. Homework is outlined, but not graded. Class was graded based on 4-5 test scores so if you do the homework and study well you will succeed. Gives great reviews and takes work into account on tests. Very fun class!

Professor Reed cares for his students while also adding comic relief to math. He's a wiz and made me enjoy math.

Mr. Reed makes sure you understand the course material. I haven't taken a math course since high school, 20 years ago, and passed this course. There is a lot of homework, but it isn't that bad. His exams are not too hard and as long as you attend class everyday, you will do fine.

AMAZING. I have struggled all my life with math, but he makes it so easy. Doesn't rush through lectures, makes sure everyone fully understands. But because he does this, we got behind schedule and had to rush towards the end of the semester. But 10/10 would recommend to anyone. DO THE REVIEWS THE TESTS ARE EXACTLY LIKE THE REVIEWS

Since the do's and don'ts won't let you tell all... He will help if you ask. He talks a lot. Lecture is drug out. If stuck on problem he will give answer without explained how to solve.

Honestly I took the Contemporary math class because thank heavens I am a liberal arts/fine arts major. The class was so easy, he explains everything really well, and the class overall is really fun.

I recommend not to buy the book because he gives you his notes after each lecture online but he sometimes he forgets so u need to remind him to upload them. He will give a review before each test. Also one in my labs that is just like the final. The final is multiple choices with no proof needed. He sometimes gets off topic. Nice guy

Math 1324- (Finite) Reed is not the best at explaining business applications- Draper is much better. Habitually late to start class and easily gets off task. If you truly want to learn- take another instructor.

He's really good at explaining. Gives lots of examples to make sure you understand what you're doing before you leave class! Sometimes he'll even go over the homework with you.

I'm a terrible math student and a non-traditional, older student. Mr. Reed is a very good teacher. Go to class or you will struggle-it's just a lot of material to cram in for a semester. I enjoyed him very much and will look to take him in other math classes.

Fall 2012' I took Reed my first semester...That was a huge mistake! Reed is not suitable to teach a remedial math course. Reed spent little time going over the lesson, was not helpful & was rude to many students. I'm not surprised that most of them were failing when I decided to transfer to another college. It's a great thing I did!
