Dr. Bryne is a very helpful and caring guy. He is usually available to talk and always ask him for advice because it is very useful and real. He really helped me overcome obstacles in my first semester as a music student. This professor is not just your teacher, he is your mentor so he really takes the time to get to know you.

He is a genuinely good guy, however his pettiness with the pep band and his ADHD style is unbearable. Wonderful person, horrible marching director.

Excellent instructor. Tries to make marching band a real experience for you. Extremely helpful. Very fun. Show up to practices and it's easy. Football games are absolutely mandatory or there's less scholarship money given to you. He views MB as a family, (proud to be a part of his.) Easy A. Makes you work for the money, though.

If you don't like marching band, then don't take the class. It's not worth the money to be miserable everyday. I enjoy Dr. Byrne. He is the most enthusiastic teacher that I have had. He is very understandable if you speak with him like an adult.

He is an awesome guy and the class can be fun if you give it the chance. I hated marching band but loved this band and Dr. Byrne. He's great if you can appreciate him as a person and he's always willing to be a good guy. Do not take it if you don't have the time though, it spends your weekends.

There is not another DGB in this world. He is absolutely enthusiastic about marching band. He reminds me of an ADHD kid that grew up without ritalin. He is often more worried about what is being put out there rather than the student's experience. He seems to be a great family man and is overall a good person. He is tolerable in small doses.

He really likes his job but I sear if heard the phrase "we have a lot on our plate" one more time I was gona snap. Dont take marching band unless you really like it as the money is no were near worth the effort and time it requires

This is an easy class to help pay for half the tuition...but he sometimes comes off as a crack addict. He can be very disorganized, but once you get used to it the class can be fun.
