What I enjoyed most about this class is you present every week. You spend the entire semester working on your final project, but I recommend writing the sections of the paper as you present each week to keep you on track and from spending the whole end of your semester writing when you have a million other group projects to do.

The tests consist of about 6 chapters and are tough. Class is pointless if you already read the book and there is no participation grade. Brooks is a great guy but my sense was that the students, myself included, just looked at it as a business prereq. and didn't care to learn much. Easy B, probably hard to get an A.

He is great! His course is a good intro to marketing and he has a lot of great background stories from his previous careers that he puts into his lectures. Not a super hard class if you study for the tests

Outside of Copic he is the best professor in the program. The guests alone are worth the class, but as mentioned before he is extremely helpful to anyone willing to put in the effort. Highly recommended.

Brooks has a lot of real world experience, so his teachings are generally relevant. Not the most interesting of lecture material, but he lectures well, so they're not sleep inducing. He's a quirky guy... but helpful. Not a difficult grader. Good group for your presentation will be key.

Funny teacher, kinda weird but interesting. Pretty laid back class. He reads off powerpoint slides every lecture, which are posted online so class attendance isn't mandatory. There are a couple of case studies, midterm, final, and group presentation. Not bad at all for my first marketing class.

Good class. Varied assignments keep the class interesting. Cases are fun and relatively easy if you give effort. Project is not hard if you tackle the work in advance.

Very fun class with tons of group work. Grades based on 3 case studies (2 individual & 1 that you present in group), participation & group project/paper. Lectures can be boring but he has a ton of experience & brings in 2 guest speakers. Very important to get a good group. Don't get all international students! Don't buy the book. Great prof/class!

Brooks is outgoing and knows his stuff. He's an industry guy, so he has tons of war stories and a good sense of humor about what takes place in the marketing world. A great beginner course, and much more interesting than other core class fare.

This is by far one of the most boring classes you could take. Powerpoints are decent, his presenting keeps students' attecniton first 5 minutes at best. Once he doesn't like you/uour group - don't hope for A, while you'll be seeing other people getting A's for nothing. You want A or B - go for it, you want to get some knowledge in your MBA - avoid.
