I hate math and was having such a hard time understanding the concepts until I took this class with Ms. Rose. She is an excellent instructor and takes the time to teach and answer all questions. If you are not a math person take math with her, you will start to like going to math class.

Class was well organized, expectations were clear. Homework wasn't overwhelming, tests were sometimes hard, but she allows retakes. Anyone who got less than 3.0 probably didn't try very hard.

i think the only reason i passed this class is cause i learned all the material in high school. Gwen doesnt know what the hell is going on! shes terrible at math and worse at teaching. worst teacher ive had at valley for sure. pretty sure she is just floating on her tenure...at least she is hot

Most people found her really boring and left halfway through the class. Many people had negative things to say about her, but overall I thought her class was very easy. She does seem to get nervous being infront of a classroom, but I understood her pretty well. Math is just not a very fun subject in general.

Gwen was always there for the students. She went out of her way to make sure that everyone in the class understood what was going on and always had assignments handed back the next class period. She was very well prepared. The only time she did not go out of her way was for people who did not attend class regularly or was disruptive during class.

Asking "Is that okay?" Is NOT teaching. This teacher would give us practice tests to be turned in by the test date. Then, during the actual test, she would hand back the graded practice ones. If we got any incorrect, we were screwed! When I came to her for help, she said, "Maybe you'd better just drop the class." Some help, huh?

Step by step instructions. She is corny though. Retakes on all tests, corrections are also available of tests. Daily quizes so it forces people to stay in class for whole period.
