The worst Professor Ive had at Hofstra by FAR. He was extremely arrogant and a tough grader. If the paper you write isnt exactly what he would have written its not good enough. He really doesnt teach or explain his grades he just puts a letter on the page.

He is really nice and his lectures are interesting, however he is the hardest grader I have ever seen. Also most 3 out of the 5 papers are assigned inside of the last month. Overall a really nice intelligent guy, but if you struggle with writing don't take him.

tough grader, lets you do rewrites though which make up for it i guess. pretty lenient on giving extensions sometimes all you need to do is ask. honestly, skim the readings and work hard on the papers and you should do fine in his class, just be prepared at the end of the semester to write like two or three papers in the last month

sucks- grading impossible. He expects you to write professional essays in a week. Grading is harsh unless you are an writing expert. No help from him and he never gets anything back timely. Stay away unless you are already a person who can write really well

I really like professor barbarello, he is very into his class, which might bother some students, but i think its not a negative at all. he is pretty lenient with due dates, but only to a point, if you get everything in with a couple weeks to spare your golden. overall a very good experience, and he picks out good books too

This was the worst class I ever took. He is so into it.He expects you to know the material as well as he does.Alot of work and little time to complete it in. Deadlines are too close toghether.
