Material is tough but you learn so much new, interesting things - its worth it. He also lets you reschedule exams and will definitely work with you. I think its his last semester here, but damn he was funny. He's literally Woody Allen. Take him while you still can

Comment:

While this class was difficult for me, it did not seem to be a difficult one for everyone else. I am not a LIN or CSD major, which should probably be a prerequisite for the class. Dr. Sussman is hilarious and does care about his students. I could have gone to get more help but I did not have time. Eventually, I dropped but I would take him again.

Comment:

Dr. Sussman has been one of my favorite professors thus far. This is class is difficult, but if you pay attention in class and keep up with understanding the content, it's doable. Your entire grade is based on 4 tests, and the only written material is the course packet he requires (not too pricy). Go to office hours, pay attention, & study hard!

Don't take this class if you're not a CSD major. That being said, I don't regret taking the class. I learned A LOT. I have no idea where the horrible comments of Dr. Sussman come from. He is one of the kindest professors at UT. He's super funny, and has a BEAUTIFUL New York accent. Really focus on his lectures, and take coffee to class!

He's a phenomenal teacher. His exams are tricky but show up to his lectures, pay attention, and read your notes, and you should be good. He's very approachable, and like all great professors, if he sees you put in the work, you won't find a more willing mentor.

Solid. This is what a University education is all about. Good learning, excellent delivery. Nothing bad to say all around. And this guy is funny. Regular injects of jokes when the material requires. Take his courses, you will be glad.

He is one my better professors here at UT. He makes difficult concepts very easy to understand. His tests can be tricky, even though they're multiple choice. Just go to class, pay attention, and go over your notes, and the tests should be easy. He's really funny too.

interesting course material. 4 tests- study for them. you buy a course packet in the beginning but you need to go to go class for explanations/additional information. sussmans pretty cool- his explanations of complex concepts are pretty clear. ask if you dont get it- he'll help you out.
