Comment:

The number of quizzes and exams in the online course are extreme compared to the in-class lecture style. Extremely time consuming if you watch the videos, complete the study plans and the textbook readings before the chapter exams but do-able. Only way to reach him is in-person during his listed office hours. Impossible to get an email back

Hasker Davis is a good teacher. He loves to talk if you go in and do extra credit for his online course. Easy to get an A, he offers much extra credit. I loved to take his course. Most kids who do not do well, usually have not taken advantage of extra credit or studied well. Do the tests and homework on time.

Comment:

This course (at least the online one) is purely graded by the online software that you have to buy. Hasker Davis was very unavailable for me. Professor Davis sent out mass emails to communicate, but I never received an email reply from this professor. I am very disappointed in their performance as an instructor.

I've taken Professor Davis course in 2009 and he was the best professors I've had in my college career. Looking back I appreciate how he pushed me to become the best student possible. This man's lectures and life experience is like no other. His guidance helped steer me in the direction to want to pursue a career in cognitive lifespan development.

I found Dr Davis to be very fair to students who are motivated to worhard in class.Biopsych is a difficult subject that does not come easy to many students, Davis recognizes this by providing ample extra credit. He tests from the book and expects students to read. Lectures are supplemental material mainly.

I took the online class. I got an A. It was really easy as long as you read the material before the weekly test. I never met Professor Davis and any questions I had were answered and taken care of by his teaching assistant who was really helpful.

His lectures don't pertain to what he tests on so it can get aggravating but it is interesting. The tests are hard but if you read the chapter and study the power points you can easily do well. He allows for up to 10 percentage points in extra credit which is a lot! And you get to drop your lowest test.

He is an awful lecturer. Does not care to help when you try to talk to him about class material. Gets offended when you make a statement that does not suit him or he has to explain something. Very unpleasant experience.

Davis is so confusing that taking notes is useless. He jumps from topic to topic not following any logical order. Some important topics he touches on so briefly that I found myself wondering why I was wasting my time in this class. Before it was too late, I dropped the course. I'll take it again next semester with Dr. Kisley.

Hasker is not an easy professor, but he is fair. Do not expect to take Bio psychology with him and get an A without knowing EVERYTHING in the book. I have been in several of Hasker's classes, and as a graduate student I have been a TA in some of them. Hasker does ramble, but he can be enjoyable. Treat him as you would expect to be treated.

ARROGANT JERK! told us some things wouldn't be on test and guess what? they were there. didn't show up for our final and the girl couldn't help with our questions, he got super defensive when we asked a QUESTION! Told me to quit my job or fail; nice, to bad i need those hours for PA school! he didn't care. Does offer great extra credit, so do it!

He goes off on tangents during the lectures, and seems to forget where he started from. There isn't any point in going on the first day of the week but make sure that you go on the second, sometimes he finishes lecturing early and anyone who isn't there on time will not get a test.

This is the most ARROGANT idiot I have ever met. He is RUDE and a horrible individual. However, weird as this may seem, he led me to a career move that I absolutely love w/rude comments in '04. He definitely knows a lot about Psychology. However, his lectures fail to relate to the book. Your entire grade is based off of multiple choice questions from the book. No one showed up on Monday's because listening to his lecture before we had the test on Wednesday was unecessary and very boring.

The lectures are very boring. If you dont read the book you probably wont pass the class just form the lectures because they are so boring you just want to fall asleep. Plus they are unclear. There is no point in going on monday because yoou just want to get out as soon as posible. He is hte only one who teaches it so good luck.
