Heidi is easily one of the best professors I have had UD. She is so passionate about literature and you can tell that she genuinely cares about what students have to say and she goes out of her way to make discussions engaging and stimulating. She grades fairly but is SUPER helpful and wants you to do well. You won't regret taking a class with her!

I LOVE HEIDI KAUFFMAN. She is just a pleasure. I look forward to each class. She also has just the right amount of humor. She is always crystal clear and very intelligent. She just has such a bright personality and respects her students. Take her CLASS!!

Professor Kaufman's class was one of the most enjoyable classes I've taken at UD. She makes even the most dry material fun to talk about, is able to put things in a very detailed historical context, and clearly loves teaching the subject. While I worked for my A, it was an enjoyable challenge. The people who have complained about her are just lazy.

Anyone who says anything bad about her definitely isn't ready for a college level lit class. She is a fabulous teacher who will actually force you to think and teaches you to write well. No grade inflation, so you actually have to WANT to do well and WORK hard to do it. I love Heidi :)

She's not an easy grader, she considers 86's and above nearly flawless.. so don't expect an A. BUT, she's extremely understanding and sweet--GO SEE HER.. she will give you ideas for your paper and a higher grade for the extra effort. I'm taking her again next semester, she's quite entertaining, considering some of the boring material covered...

To do well in her class you HAVE to do all of the reading and prepare some thoughts for class. If you dont participate she'll put you on the spot, so it's best to have some ideas or questions ready before class. You'll learn tons from her-shes very inteligent and organized. Dont show up to class late or w/o your book or you won't hear the end of it

Well organized and has very clear expectations. Readings can be difficult but you always discuss them in class. 1 test & everything you need to know was discussed in class. 2 papers and she will help you if you go to her office hours. Go to class and participate in discussions and you'll be fine

Anyone who says anything bad about this instructor is just not interested in learning. She knows her stuff and she is very intelligent. I recommend her class to any English or non-Englis major. 209 is the easiest class ever, easier than ENGL110. 206 is very detailed but you learn a lot.
