If you take her class; do the following: TAKE your first homework to her to look at b4 u turn it in(!). REAllY study for the first quiz! Start the project early and ask her ?'s..it's worth as much as a test. This isn't a class where you can start off in the hole and get an A. I did but I quit a job to do it. I liked her in the end, but it was rough

Literally the worst teacher. Demanding, nitpicky and generally mean-spirited. On the one hand she is willing to meet with students outside of class to assist their studies. On the other, she tends to make students feel stupid and inferior for requiring help. Avoid at all costs.

Holli is one of those professors that like to "weed out" the students deemed unfit for higher levels of math. Sadly this also weeds out students that need help or that don't learn through independent study. If you decide to take her, reconsider an online option.

She is the best. The only time I opened the book was to do the graded homework. I learned everything just from listening to her lectures. She went above and beyond by scheduling extra optional review sessions outside of normal class time. Grades tough but fair--Details! Only docks 2% a day on late work. 1 written partners projects every term.

There are much better teachers at PCC, such as Steve Simonds and Keneguchi, seek them out. They are tough without the punitive attitude.

Was very easy to work with on a personal level, and willing to help individually. Very clear teacher, even a bit repetitious at times, but not terribly. Also let me make up a bunch of work, due to circumstance.

I went to her office several times but she was very unhelpful and even seemed offended that you would ask a question, but then when you get your grade back for said assignment its a c! so why didn't she just help? Because she is not interested in whether or not you understand the material but rather she has a "sink/swim" mentality. do not take her.

an A student. attended every class, turned in all but 1 hwk, & spent 50 hrs in tutoring-F. She is not the type who challenges u & u learn more bc of it, but rather vindictive, unhelpful & worse. U will teach urself and be amazed at some of the awful things that she says, like, "everyone takes calc twice, so I teach to those students." unacceptable.

Holli is VERY strict and grades accordingly. She tends to teach to the top students in her class and if you are struggling it's hard to get your head above water. If you want to be challenged, she is for you. But be ready for lots of work including 4 writing assignments. That said, she did go out of her way to try to help me outside of class.

She is definitely not an easy A, but if you make it though you will have a better conceptual understanding of the subject than you would probably get from any other PCC instructor. I was talking with a friend of mine from class, and he said, yeah, I probably understand this stuff better than I would've otherwise, but I still would have preferred t

She is teaching rather for her EGO!! She really is a terrible teacher. Head of the department at cascade. Her "pet" totally cheated on the final talking on her cell phone in the bathroom. That's because she totally ill prepared her class for it- a good teacher would prepare her class. She would rather watch you fail for her enjoyment and ego.

Great teacher. Kinda dry, very helpful. She grades promptly and fairly, but is unreasonably strict in my opinion. Its common to answer every question on a test correctly, yet get a B- for forgetting ellipsis, or some other notation thing clearly unrelated to one's conceptual understanding, or algebraic mechanics. You will never get 100%, but its ok

If you want to succeed in her class you must go to lecture and participate. Ask questions, visit during office hours, get clarification on the formatting. I think most of my classmates were disappointed with the grade they got in her class- what ever grade you get you have to earn and you probably won't feel like you got what you deserved.

Cannot relate real experience to her math problems, makes stupid mistakes on the board, will not give anyone an A, Docks points off the test though the answer is correct but f(x)=3x-4, if f(x) is not written through out the problem. Claims partial credit but docks you for EVERYTHING. Will not give you an inch, Judge of facts,NO MERCY attitude.
