She is horrible. She is very hard to understand and does not explain very well. You do a group project that she does not explain. She makes you print out large packets that are very vague and makes you work in groups to complete. Would never take again and hope i do not have to.

Zhu/Jew knows her stuff but is difficult to "undershtand." Online quizzes are easy, online homeworks are longer and harder, bottom 2 quizzes & homeworks dropped. Participation and group project. Extra credit opportunities. 2 tests are not easy and the final is harder. Would look for outside help if you have to take her. Not horrible but not great.

I spent an entire semester in this class and feel as tho I know less now then I did at the beginning. Lectures are actually beyond useless but you need to go to class for participation grade. Group project submitted in early February not graded until Finals week in May. If you take this class don't waste time listening to lecture, teach yourself

Dr. Zhu is by far the most confusing professor I have had at Loyola. She tried to simplify concepts with diagrams and note packets that end up making the class more difficult. Her exams were way harder than what we did in class and I never knew what to expect. I should've taken another professor. Do not recommend.

She is a little bit hard to understand. Lectures can be extremely boring but she provides you with class notes for each chapter that are extremely helpful. Her final exam was much harder than the other two tests. Shes not great but definitely better than some of the others.

She is amazing! She takes her time with each lesson and her tests are not too hard as long you study and look at your notes before. She also gives you extra credit opportunities and gives you lenience on quizzes even though they are all online and not very difficult. I would highly recommend taking her, especially for financial accounting.

She is awful. Do not take her. She can barely speakunderstand English. Her PowerPoints are 100% the book so you have to teach yourself. However, because the whole class fails her tests, we all got good grades with the curve.

Honestly, if you got past Soroosh then Zhu is seriously a breath of fresh air... Tests are still hard, but she compensates it by weighing the online homework heavily into your grade. It it wasn't for the homework, I would've ended up with a D, the homework pushed my grade to a C+... She genuinely cares about a students grade and is willing to help

There is a reason all of the good rankings about AC201 come from before 2009- VERY difficult teacher. Not an understanding lady only three exams (including the final) that make or break your grade. She tells you from the first day- you should study AT LEAST 45 hours for each exam. DO NOT take this class-there are better teachers

Very unclear with directions. No real life examples- end of semester company project but requirements not laid out clearly. Not helpful with homework, exams etc. Just three exams that will make or break your grade. DO NOT TAKE this class

Nice lady, very hard to understand. Easy notes to follow but insanely hard tests and hard to even get a B. Take another Accounting Professor.

I took GB615 over the summer. It was only a 6 week course and fairly intense. Lots of work - homework usually took a few hours to complete each time. Luckily it was graded on effort, not accuracy. For mid term and final she allowed a 3x5 index card of notes. She's young, clearly enjoys teaching & tries to keep the class interested.

Had her for both financial and managerial. My effort on Wiley and Reading were night and day, therefore results were too. I am currently at an A- for the class. I love Accounting now. Though I dont know how much my love of it is because of her.

very hard to understand (thick accent), tests are beyond difficult compared to work done in class, the paper will probably only hurt your grade. No real life examples (for a grad class), def not the "breath of fresh air" others have stated.

this is the weakest dept at LCMD. never had one example of real world acct'ng. hard to understand. dont expect to get any higher than a B-. the grading is harder than advanced calculus.

good teacher IF you put time into your class. Reading is necessary to truly do well in her class. Don't take Zhu if you're looking for an easy A.
