Comment:

Prof. Wortman is a very kind woman that wants her students to pass her class. She makes you work for your grade BUT she is very open to helping her students and is enthusiastic about math. Tests are very heavy in her class and there is a quiz once a week. Overall if you're willing to work hard you will succeed in her class.

Honestly I got really lucky when I signed up for her class. She really tries to help you understand the subject, and to pass the class. If you don't understand something and can't do office hours, you can email her. Even when she gives you extra credit you can send her an email and she checks it for you that way you can get a perfect grade!

If you do your homework and take the time to look over your notes you will pass. A lot of things you learn will be brought up later on in other sections of the course so it is good to pay attention. The teacher cares for the students and is willing to go over questions as long as you do the homework.

Do the homework and youll do well. This class gets significantly harder throughout the semester, so try to study. Professor is a tough grader, but shell tell you what she takes off for long before the test. Quizzes are once a week, and by the end of the semester you wont have any. Tests are most of your grade so make them count.

I Can't seem to understand why anyone would take this course over again She has a nasty attitude and was very rude when you had any questions she'd shrug and make you feel uncomfortable for not understanding She practically told the whole class to drop her class because she claimed we were all going to fail due to her lack of knowledge on teaching

When talking to students, she walks a fine line between being assertive and a being a total B. On the first day, I felt like she "tricked" us with this amazing attitude (which didn't last). Explains well but becomes frustrated easily. Also I saw another teachers exam when I was studying, and this teacher is way harder just saying.

She is such a good teacher, I just was going through a really tough time with the death of my boyfriend, it kinda made me give up. Of course, you're going to have to do homework every day, but she's so easy to listen and talk to.

Shes a good professor, however she just didn't work for me. I did all homework and attended every class. She gave to many problems on the 2nd and 3rd exams only leaving about 2 minutes to do each problem in the 50 min time slot.

She was such an amazing teacher to have. Math is now my new favorite subject and its all thanks to her. She made learning easy and math fun. I would so recommend her. she doesn't collect hw but its a must to do if you want a good grade. quizzes and test reflect hw.

Professor Wortman was very nice and explained things thoroughly. I was never good at math but I did extremely well in this class. Sometimes when she does problems on the board, she goes a bit too fast but if you ask her to clarify she will. She goes over any homework questions in class. She was just a great teacher. Highly recommend.

Professor Wortman is a wonderful woman and simply being around her will put you in a good mood. I took trigonometry with her and the tests were very tough although she is very willing to stop and help someone who is struggling with the material. DO YOUR HOMEWORK. It's tempting not to because it's not collected but it's the only way to do well.

she loves calculus, her notes are good but sometimes she gives too few examples to do well on the homework. make sure you know the small stuff, she will not waste time in class on algebra. review sheets really arent that important; do the homework and you'll be fine.

Comment:

Prof. Pinkall is an excellent teacher. She is thorough and clear. If she sees that you are trying, she will go out of her way to help you. Just go to her class prepared to take notes because she teaches at a pretty fast pace. Her tests and quizzes can be a little difficult, but if you do the homework and ask questions you shouldn't have a problem.
