Do not take EC 101 with this instructor. Lectures are not clear, and to be honest, he mostly just rambles on about nothing. Also, doesn't give you any clear indication of what he's actually going to test on his exams. Taking a class with this guy is about as frustrating as it gets.

He's a nice guy who knows what he's talking about. However, he rambles, tells jokes, and is kind of awkward. My least favorite part is his habit of showing up late to class, and then keeping us 30+ minutes late each time. I'm taking a summer class so I know it's a lot of material without a lot of time to cover it, but he needs to move faster.

Tests are not a walk in the park but there is a curve at the end in which the average grade for the course would be a B, so as long as you perform averageslightly above you should do fine. Listen during lecture because the textbook is confusing and long. Homework not graded.

Easy A.Do the homework, read the book. The only bonus of going to class is that he usually puts in one or two problems he does in class in the exams. By the way his exams are the easiest I have had in BU so far.

Take this class. You will get a good grade. But this class is really self-taught.Huang (pronounced)is a terrible professor, he doesnt take his job seriously, he jokes around about not getting paid enough, & he rambles about nothing during his lectures. Attendance was not taken for my class BUT def do all the readings & def go to all lectures.Extra..

VERY smart guy, really knows his stuff, unfortunately his lectures and notes are a bit unorganized but the textbook does help clear up any holes in the notes. Fair grader and helpful at office hours. Id reccomend a class with him anytime.

Hard to understand, and his lectures are basically useless. I went to every class, did all the homework, and still ended up with a B-. It sucked. I wish I had taken ec101

Great guy. His lectures are always useful to attend and most of the questions on the quizes/exams are from the lectures. Attendance is far from mandatory, but it's worth going. An "A" is more than attainable.

Prof Huang is very cool. I like how he is very funny at times. He knows his students' names, that shows how much he cares about his students. Very nice guy and very brilliant person. Relatively easy tests. Mostly taken from lectures. Get to know him and you won't regret it.

Excellent Professor. Lectures are very clear and entertaining. He tells a lot of politically incorrect jokes that just crack me up. Tests are easy, the exams are quite difficult. However, if you go to his office hours, he is very patient and explains things very clearly. Overall one of the best professors I've had at BU.

He's a nice professor. His lectures are only very slightly related to the textbook and the tests and the exams are mostly on the lectures. The tests are pretty easy but the midterms are harder. Overall, the lectures are sometimes interesting, and sometimes, you just feel like you wanna kill yourself. if you are an econ major - highly recommended!

Class was so easy. He set the class average to a B. 4 ppl out of 35 got an A. 3 A-. Mostly B+'s and B's. I went to 5 classes (1st day and the 4 exams and got a B+ w/o more than 2 or 3 hours of studying per exam. if you have the choice and want a good grade choose him.

Very funny and interesting professor. Midterm and tests were not bad.The final was tougher but doable. As this was the first time he has tuahgt game theory, his lectures, didn't match the syllabus or the book, making it hard to prepare fot the exams. Despite what he said, the tests/ exams were always from the lectures. Nice guy and great professor!

Funny prof, politically incorrect at times but it's OK. Lectures are helpful. Supposedly not as technical as the other 201 classes, I heard.

Basically your grade all depends on how well you do on the midterm and final. Although you don't necessarily need attend class if you get decent notes, he is a pretty good and funny professor and it is worth it to attend the lectures. However, he does spend a lot of time repeating examples (including this oil one early in the semester).
