He is very passionate and the class is interesting, however he is also very crazy. Pretty sure he has turrets. If you take notes and I mean write down everything he says, read the chapters, and try to get past his random yelling and very firm beliefs you might do okay. There are only 3 tests the whole semester so if you screw up once you're done.

Horrible teacher. Absolutely do not take him. Half of the information he gives in his lectures is inaccurate, and he bashes any organized religion that is not southern Baptist. 3 tests that account for 99 points total for the full semester- no extra credit. Yeah, definitely don't take him! Only perk is he doesn't care if you're there.

Dr. Williams knows sooo much about this subject. You can tell it really means a lot to him. You can also tell that his students mean a lot to him. He cares about your future and your situation. I learned soooo much from his classes!!! Just show up and take notes, your set!

LT is hilarious! He definately keeps class interesting! He has 3 tests (33% each). No Extra Credit. No other grades except tests. On the tests you have 13 Multiple Choice and you get to choose out of the essays given, do two. It's really not that bad, he grades fairly easy. I got a C because I bombed the first test, because Idk what to expect.

Williams was one of the easiest classes I had. But that may be because I study hard and always attend class. Notes are MANDATORY! If you study the notes and answer focus questions in the book from two chapters, you will do fine. I have made 100% on both tests so far and only have one to go. He doesn't do extra credit though, so don't be lazy! :)

Dr. Williams is very knowledgable on the material he teaches. Attendance is MANDATORY though, because notes from class are on the tests. Also, there are 2 essay questions on the tests as well. Focus questions from the book and notes from class need to be studied. 3 test total averaging 33% of the course grade each. Def better than Dr. Anson!!!!

I am appalled by the negative comments about Dr. Williams. He is kind, very knowledgeable, and very passionate with his teaching. I had no interest in History whatsoever before attending his class, he has changed my outlook and I love learning from him. I only wish I were taking History of Civ. II at UALR. I would recommend him to anyone.

Beforehand, I absolutely dreaded history. But Dr. Williams made it very fun and interesting. Tests depend on the notes that you take in class. The essays he takes right out of the questions in the book. So study your notes and the questions before each chapter, and you will do just fine

Although I absolutely hated the man's class, he is not that bad of a teacher. We had four tests, comprised of ten multiple choice and two essays. If you're good at writing history essays on the spot, then take this class. A lot of people did very well, but most who did cheated. He is very biased, both socially and religiously.

If you are African American and/or caucasian (heterosexual, protestant, and disease free, then you should definitely take this class. Dr. Williams is an interesting professor. But if there is a chance that he can discrimate against you with hateful comments or otherwise, he will. For me, I would have been better off in History of the Holocaust.

I really hate history but this professor kept me interested with his random outbursts. If you write the notes, come to class, and listen to what he says you'll do fine. I wish he taught Civ2.

I hated this class! He is a pretty intense teacher; the yelling is fun at first, but midway into the semester, its scary. His religious bias is obvious. He repeats himself a lot. Gets sidetracked. And relies WAY too heavily on the book. If you want to pass, study until your brain hurts.

Very entertaining and enjoyable teacher. Very clear on his expectations, go to class and take notes and you will be fine. 3 10pt quizes, midterm (on notes) and final (on notes) are the only grades. Very knowledgeable on subject matter. Passionate about his field.

The most boring class ever and his moods are ridiculous. Just take notes EVERY DAY and SERIOUSLY, WRITE DOWN EVERYTHING. If you have the notes and study them well, you'll ace the tests. Essay questions aren't hard if you know the notes and 'know two chapters as if you wrote them yourself'....

This is one of the best classes I have ever taken. It was not mandatory to attend class as long as you could obtain the notes from a friend the next time. There were only three tests and they were really easy as long as you had the notes and then there were two essays that were passable as long as you skimmed through the two chapters!VERRY EASY A!

I took Dr. Williams years ago. I am now well beyond my Masters degree. I must say that throughout my educational experience, Dr. Williams was one of the most interesting professors. If you want passion in your lectures along with solid material....look no further. I totally respect him. Trust me.
