Comment:

She truly cares for her students & wants them to learn. She has quizzes every Thursday which gets annoying when you have other classes. Very accessible outside of class. Must be in class or you miss points for attendance and just won't understand content. Exams weren't terrible, she prepares you well.

Her lectures help. GO TO CLASS!!! I got a B cuz there are about 15 questions per exam and less than 5 questions on quizzes. There are only three exams and there's a quiz almost every Thursday but by the end of the semester, she's easygoing and stops giving out so many quizzes.

She is awesome at teaching & shows step by step to help students understand the concept. She is willing to help outside of class time due to limited amount of time. But the only down side is that there are 3 exams & only have about 15 questions. There are quizzes on Thursdays but at the end, she doesn't give out as much.

Professor Karasik is an amazing professor. She knows the common problems that many students have and explains them in depth. She has an accent, but It is very easy to understand. She is strict on her no phone policy. Also, there was an extra credit point in the syllabus, so read It. She is very accessible outside of class . Overall, a great prof!

Tests are the easiest, but a lot of it is from the online homework. She wont move on until everyone understands, she cares about her students. The weekly quizzes are kinda annoying tho.

Professor Karasik is an excellent math instructor. She knows the common mistakes that students make and has good explanations to correct them. Inessa is also very accessible outside of the classroom. Worst teacher that I have ever had. Her lectures are barely understandable because of her heavy accent, and the fact that she doesn't go in depth. I end up teaching myself all of the material the night before the exam or quiz. She will literally find any reason to take off points and can be very rude at times. She isn't afraid to call you out.

Professor Karasik came off as very tough at first, but she turned out to be so much more than I expected. She knows what she is doing and will help you as much as possible to make sure you understand. Always available in her office, offers extensions for homework, and is open to questions. Take her serious or you won't do so well.

Professor Karasik was a great professor! She taught everything in a way that made it seem very simple. Esay A as long as you do the homework and ask questions in class. She is very accepting to asking questions and encourages it a lot. If you participate a lot she will really like you. Exams are very straight forward and similar to homework

She is a tough teacher. For most of the semester I felt like I knew what we were talking about and as soon as I got to the test or quiz the questions were a lot harder than the ones in class. She will mark you down even if you get the answer correct, she will pretty much mark down all points if you have the wrong sign. All around very tough teacher

Although her accent is thick, she knows what she is doing. Her class was very easy but she will mark you down if you do the work wrong. Other than that, she is a great teacher I went from a 58% to and 82% in a week.

She takes the entire class time, not a minute less, sometimes a minute more. I worked so hard, even got a tutor and I did not do well in this class. Now I have to retake it, if possible, good luck....

I hated this class. I was lucky enough to slightly pass. Even if you have the answer right, she'll deduct points if you forgot one simple work part that you could have done in your head. She then claims she is being generous. I wouldn't recommend unless you have no choice.

I mean her exams and her quizzes are hard in my opinion. I felt so confident on some quizzes and ended up getting horrible grades because of my work not the answer. She picks on each person in the class to make sure you are paying attention. Just be ready. If you know your stuff then you will probably do ok, just study study!!!

Her accent isn't her problem. She takes points off quizzes & tests if you don't check your answer & if you have ANY work that is wrong (even if you redo the problem & the get the right answer). She picks on students randomly to answer questions (embarrassing you if you don't know the answer), & yells at you for phones. Would NOT recommend.

For some reason she told us 15 times at the beginning of the semester "Don't use my accent as an excuse for not passing the class". Im guessing lots of students have said that in the past. Anyway she can often make slip ups during lectures but she is wiling to help everyone. Not the best math professor but not the worst, she is okay. A 710

Lessons weren't clear. She makes many mistakes on her own work while instructing and made it difficult to learn how to solve new problems. Usually jumps right into problems instead of teaching the unit.

Mixed feelings about her, initially she came across as a mean professor that can't teach. As the semester went on, she turned out to be a nice lady, who unfortunately still isn't that great at teaching. She makes it a point that she's there to help you out, but honestly if you just do the homework and show up you should get no lower than a B.

This is the truth about Inessa. The truth is that she teaches MATH which means you have to work for it. She has an accent but she is very understandable. She explains everything very clearly and asks if you have questions. Gives extenstions on homework but you will have it everyday. Quiz every thurs but will help for exams that you have 4 of.
