Comment:

Good for refresher course or transitioning from high school to college. Very organized, ALL homework and test dates are given on the syllabus. He starts class by opening a class discussion for the homework to ensure everyone understands. Thick accent makes lectures a tad challenging. Nonetheless, really gives his all to get the material across.

Dr. Kim is a great professor.... he is a little hard to understand at first but he will always go back and explain things clearer if you need him to and never makes you feel bad... Wonderful professor and very knowledgeable :)

I generally taught myself this class. While he is hard to understand at some points, he does try and get the general idea across. Do your homework, and tests are easy. I would only recommend him if this is a refresher course for you.

Proffesor kim was a good teacher if you sit in the front and ask questions do all your homework you will do well in the class. He is kind and flexible. If you are bad at math make the extra effort and take some tutoring classes.

Good guy, very helpful when you ask, but has a thick accent but understandable. Flexible on coming in late and late homework. Wouldn't take him unless you are good or decent at math.

he is a good guy and a very nice teacher. he is not a hard teacher and he is very flexible with late work. His accent is a bit hard to understand. It is very hard to learn from him, because of his poor english. his accent isnt very bad but his phrases can confuse. I had to go the entire class teaching my self from the reading sections in the book.

Super nice guy but a terrible teacher. If you are not independantly successful in math, DO NOT take this class. His accent is thick but totally understandable- it's the way he teaches that is incomprehensible.

Class was very hard to say the least. Prof. Kim was very fair on grading (you get what you got)but very sweet. Lots of easy homework and short quizes w/ notes but no time. No midterm, just a final. He is very hard to understand and often times needs to be corrected when doing problems on the board. DO NOT TAKE if you are not outstanding at math.

I hated this class. I couldn't understand anything he was saying, and he always made mistakes when trying to explain math problems. Extremely hard test grader. Unless you're a mathematical genius, do not take this class.

Prof Kim is a very nice man, but his class is very difficult. His accent wasnt a problem for me,but he is not good at explaining what hes talking about. He also a very hard test grader...I would recommend anybody to take his class to receive tutoring.

his accent may be strong but he's still nonetheless a good teacher. just understand what he writes on the board and you set for the test! he doesnt assign a lot of hw but be sure to do them. he gives you a list of all the hw so you can do all of them in 2 weeks if you wanted. if u understood the hw then u wouldnt need to listen to his lectures.

Prof. Kim is a nice man. Yet, his korean accent conflicts with the standard english. Tests and quizzes are challenging. If you make an error its -5 on a simple problem. So beware and leave early

i just came out from HS so i had knowledge about this stuff and thats the only way im able to pass this class..he hard to understand but his grading seems easy..you can use notes on ~6quizzes and midtermS and final..he has 3 midterms but he drops the lowest midterm and quiz score..and homework is ez

Sweet Lord he is hard to understand. The man is from Korea, and his accent is as thick as concrete! Nerdy is an understatement! The man wore a bow tie on the first day. He Looked like an asian Orville Redenbacher.

dr kim is hard to understand sometimes with his korean accent but is a good teacher. he goes over anything until the class understands it. this class has to turn in homework. it helps alot for the exams. i liked his class.

Very difficult to understand and follow his lectures. If you want to maintain an average grade, better take another teacher. The exams are horendous! He would include problems that you have never encountered before.
