His class is doable.... but it would totally be helpful to have a background in using html/binary. He threw us into it without much explanation and it was difficult. If you read the book and have a basic understanding of everything you could probably make a high b in his intro course. If I cared more I could have done better.

the lectures will not help you, the textbook will be your best friend. i highly recommend you start reading the textbook three days before the test because its the only way for you to get an A in this class.

"Worst class ever! This is an introductory class....... outside of the classroom" continued... Be prepared to teach yourself because he literally just reads off the powerpoint. He only grades 5 assignments, 2 test (24% each), and a final(12%). I'd recommend taking another teacher if offered because you will struggle if you've never known CS info.

I would not take him again. He wasnt clear about the material on the tests, and there were only two. There were a lot of assignments and we had quizzes in lab. Also, his grader took forever for our grades on everything.

Completely out of scope with current computing, refers to Netscape as if it's contemporary. A few memorable quotes are "That's why Europe software companies are better than the US", but most people can't even name a single European software company. Sloppy with student papers and derides students. Literally the worst teacher at this school.

Takes some getting used to. No real help with homework so you should consider making friends. Tests however are pretty fair if you come to class. Focus on acing homework (important), lab quizzes and do you best on the test. In the end you will make out with a pretty good grades and you will have gained a lot more out of the class than most.

For Software Engineering, He wasn't much help. It came down to a midterm, a final, and the final project. Basically if you don't do everything he wants in his way you won't get a good grade.

Reading from slides. Group projects are semester long and if you dont have a good group, you might have to work overtime to meet project goals. All the work builds up quick so procrastinating is a bad idea. Tests are tough and no clear guide on what to study for. Overall not that great.

Probably the easiest professor for CS I have had so far. Tests are extremely easy if you know basics of coding. The average for tests was low but that's because most people don't study or know the very basics of this class. We barely learned anything new for the first test, it was basically CS 1302, but average score was 60s. Easy A. Insane curving.

He will make u do a lot of assignments. Does help to get a good grade. for the tests, just practice his test questions from previous semesters. 80% of the questions are repeated.

He grades your tests, but assignments/quiz are graded by lenient TAs, easy 100s. 10-15pt exam curve, final optional Spr '17 if offered grade acceptable. Excess Java review at start, no review for exams makes them hard. Do not need text. Pay attention to the word docs he uses. Grammar, trees, infix/postfix, stack/queue focus on exams. Meh.

I'm glad that I never have to take another one of his classes. He provides all of his slides on his website. For his lectures he will just read his slides to you for the entire class period after taking attendance. He does not give you any indication of what concepts will be on the tests and he grades them hard. I definitely wouldn't recommend him.

There were only a few assignments and quizzes, each weighed a fairly large percentage of your grade. Attending class is not necessarily important for the information, but because there's a sign in sheet. He curves exams but that's only because alot of people tend to fail them. Make sure to do as well as possible on assignments to pad your grade.

Bhola's test are difficult, not because of the material you're tested on (you'll see when you get the tests back how easy the solutions were), but because he doesn't prepare you for the questions AT ALL and hardly tells you what to expect on the exams. I would recommend pretty much anyone else over Bhola. Avoid his course.

Do not take his class unless there is no other option. He's a nice guy, but is not helpful. He gives long exams and doesn't give you any details whatsoever on what to study. There's a lot of material and it isn't all that hard, it's just impossible to know what is important to study for the exams.

Horrible professor. Does not give plus or minuses. He sucks at lecturing and does not give good information for what will be on tests. He is open during office hours, but he is rude when you don't understand stuff. His grading sucks and you cannot read any of his feedback. I do not recommend!

This guy's a bad professor. Lectures are unorganized and it's never clear what will be on his tests until they're in front of you. Good luck because in the class I'm taking there are two tests (20% each) and the final (12%). It's not the material that is difficult. What's difficult is the way this guy purposely keeps students in the dark.
