The guy isn't that bad. Like all accounting professors at Shepherd, he places an over-emphasis on details and disproportionately deducts points for small errors. However, he's the easiest and most sequatious of the accounting professors, so recommend.His angry disposition is merely a facade to maintain order in the class.

You can learn a lot in this class if you actually go. He assigns a lot of homework, and if you do it and have a functional brain, the material will be relatively easy to understand. You do about a chapter a week.

I transfered and retook inter. 1 and I learned so much more and was able to apply more information in one lesson then what thatcher tought in 1 semester. He is terrible... I likes to pick on students and makes them feel stupid for not knowing the answer. Skips around , doesnt review , and never shows you how to do the homework accurately

Fall 2006 Do not take the accounting Nazi. Most of my class has dropped. He has killed my interest in accounting. He gives low grades and makes you feel like a jerk for asking a question. I read the chapters, do all the homework, meet with an acct tutor 2 times a week for an hour, and study before all tests. Only to receive D's. Don't try!

I'm sorry for who ever has this teacher but he is a horrible professor. Fall semester 05 , I learned nothing from him. All he did was teach us what he wanted us to know (nothing from the book). His tests were poorly graded and unfair. He even said he was not responsible for covering material. So dont waste your time with him...
