He is VERY nice, but the difficulty of his course was below high school level. He will spend a TON of time talking about 1 or 2 concepts and now a lot of things my friends at other schools learned about, I haven't heard of. If you want an easy A, take him. But you will suffer in future math courses because you didn't learn the prerequisites.

He's the most sweet guy in word. Teaches few things and repeat them many times, but those things I definitely learned them! He requires an essay, but it's really easy. Easy A

Comment:

Dr Boler has an agenda for his class. He teaches and follow up with students. He had been always available to answer students' questions after class. he was able to help me understand the material and its basic foundation. He is respectful with students. He encourages the student to work and contemplate on math concepts. He is an inspiring teacher.

I took Dr. Boler for multiple classes (3 I believe). I made an A in every course. However, his classes are a joke. If you are interested in learning anything don't bother taking him. He rambles on about random higher level math. You can get every problem wrong on a test and still make an A. Don't get me wrong, his classes are easy but also BORING!

Take Dr. Boler for any class he teaches. He is challenging and holds your mathematical interest to a higher level. You may sit in class thinking why is he teaching this? The book and attendance is NECESSARY. Show up to class on time and do the work if you desire a high grade. TAKE HIM, YOU WON"T REGRET IT!

Does not teach straight from notes or lecture out of a text. He just gets up there and shares what he knows with you. Always willing to clarify. He does the best job ever of relating the topics you cover in advanced mathematics to many other areas of math and the sciences. Highly recommend for graduate-level courses!!!

I highly recommend Dr. Boler for any class he is teaching. Yes, his teaching style can sometimes frustrate you, book usage is minimal-use the class notes for better understanding, and tests are not that bad. Don't be a dummy by showing up late and eating fritos in class or he will correct you. Attendance is mandatory if you desire a grade A.

Dr. Boler's class is very easy. You do not ever use the text book. He assigns few homework assignments which are exactly what is on the test. Attendence is not necessary, be sure to be there for the test review. Tests are 5 questions, he is a fair grader. I would highly recommend!!

Very nice man. Some previous comments not my experience. Class was easier than expected. Very liberal grading policy. Doesn't give test "reviews" but will work out any problem that you ask up to test. Do the hw and you'll get a good grade. Tends to ask proof problems on tests that you might not expect when you spend much time of "real" probs on hw.

Dr. Boler was friendly and taught using simple, easygoing style. Both tests contained: ~5 problems (50%), ~10 short answer, identify (25%), and 1 or 2 essays (25%). Identifications should be changed to matching because there were too many names and events to memorize. Class typically lasted 1.5 hours. Average student can get an A.

Easy to follow and understand. Seems friendly & patient. Works out many examples to help class understand material. However, he uses a grade-school style teaching methodology, and he gets easily agitated and exaggerates the cause while enforcing discipline. Tests were basically simple & short.
