I would say, the BEST professor in UAlbany. He's teaching skill is unique. He is very open minded about any thoughts. just participate and read some pages before the class. He should be a principal for this university. If you want to know know about East Asia, YOU SHOULD DEFINATELY TAKE HIS CLASS! JUST TRUST ME AND GO FOR IT!

Professor Hargett is genuinely one of my favorite professors. He seems intimidating at first and is not afraid to call you out if you're day dreaming! However, he genuinely cares about his students and is inspiring to listen to. I have loved each class I have taken with him and admire his incredible Chinese language skills, UA is lucky to have him!

His personality is definitely acquired taste, but he will grow on you. He gets everyone involved in class, which is actually really nice. The paper counts for most of the overall grade, so take his advice! Very fun class, would recommend!
