"Despite her age"--what is that supposed to mean? Jenny is just the greatest. She's very understanding and excellent at facilitating class discussion. Highly recommended.

We had some good discussions in this class. Without which I would not have understood a lot of the stuff we read. Professor Michaels knows a lot of stuff. And is generally just a pretty darn decent person. Reading was extremely heavy. I definitely did not read everything I was assigned.

Oh Professor Michaels. I can honestly say that she is one of my best friends. She takes such a sincere interest in her students that she almost seemed more like a mother than a professor. Even if she wasn't a good professor (which she is), I would take her classes if only to benefit from her generous spirit.

Ginny was my First Year Tutorial professor and advisor and I absolutely loved her class. Her expectations were crystal clear and she was particularly good at encouraging everyone to contribute to class discussions. Love her!

Highly recommended. I can't comment on her other courses, but at the 300-level, Jenny is infectiously passionate about German literature. She's very good at pushing class discussions forward without being intimidating. Responsive to student needs and helpful during office hours. Wonderful!

Nice, cares about students, but, as has been said before, doesn't push to help students develop oral skills. Nonforceful is effective for some but can be taken advantage of, but sometimes takes over student-run discussion (possibly for the better?)

She may be harder on her intermediate and advanced classes, but for introduction German, Prof. Michaels is almost absurdly easy. Other than that, she's a perfectly good profesor.

I took her Holocaust Lit in Translation class. Her warmth and engaging personality made studying the subject matter more bearable to study. Good discussion leader, good at getting people to participate in a non-threatening manner. Highly recommended.
