don't buy the textbook, he gives links to previous exams & practice quizzes. use previous exams to study for upcoming ones instead of his practice ones. this class wasn't relevant to my major but I passed with a B because I studied the old exams & practice packets. he grades on a curve after you've taken all 3 exams & if the class average is low.

Never ever take this professor because he is the worst prof. ever I had in my life. He is not helpful when you want to go to his office hours. Only three tests, no hw or quizes, so you do not have any chances to bring your grade up if you do not do good in exam, and tests are very hard. There are two tests and a final total, but 3 different ways of grading so it's really easy to get a good grade if you study. Tests/final are curved up to 75% if the average is below that. She has a lot of reading content and lesson guides, and the tests are open book so as long as you take notes about major points you'll do fine.

This class was very hard. It didn't help much that there was no homework or class work to help bring up your grade, whatever you get in those 3 tests throughout the course Is pretty much your final grade. Tests are difficult.

This is a hard class but Professor Shipley is more than willing to help you pass. He provides a lot of practice tests & it helps a little. I would take him again due to the fact that micro & macro econ r very similar in terms of learning content. He explains the content very clearly & provides good notes.

Very hard class, he tries to give you enough info to help. No extra credit, discussions, or graded homework. You have 2 exams and final, however he has 3 ways of grading to give you highest grade and gives a grading curve if the class average on a test is under a 75%.

All the content for Eco2013 was very interesting!! I really loved this class and the way it was given!Professor Shipley provides a good amount of resources so students can really learn the content (didnt buy the book). Not a very easy class but worth taking it.

Prof. Shipley was one of the best professors I have had during my college career. Use ALL of the resources provided! Take ALL of the practice quizzes and exams, read through ALL of the materials, and you WILL do well. I did not purchase a textbook for this class, but I did study and use all of the resources available, and I ended up with an A+.

I like him. He only has 3 test and that is all you are graded on, but it will curve the classes score to about a 70. He has practice online, but I never did them and I understood the material. Only take his if you learn by just listen and taking notes.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. Worst mistake you could make. There are no homework or quizzes just practice work and mideterms. The midterms are ridiculous, you can study and practice as much as you can and still fail the midterms. The practice is of no help, because the midterms are completely different. There is no way to raise your grade than the term.

Do not take this class. Yes there may be no quizzes or HW, but the exams themselves are ridiculously hard. He includes things that are not in his concept guides (where exams are supposedly taken from)on his tests. It is a gamble to rely on the hopes of others getting a low grade which will happen regardless. Could use more examples and consistency.

NO HOMEWORK. NO QUIZZES. Just 3 tests. He is very funny. His examples are things we can relate to. He gives in class problems and a review before each test. The tests are NOT as easy as the review but are not hard. Overall, it's a fairly easy course. I definately recommend this guy.

Took online, got a B. Tests were fairly easy, just go over power points and notes. Make sure to do the practice tests!!! Can't stress that enough. Great guy, thanks again.
