Dr. Sloan is very kind and wants his students to succeed. He gives many opportunities for points and lets you make them up if you need. The majority of the class is driven by Kent State policy, so he doesnt have much control over the class structure, but he is supportive and does what he can to help.

Sloan was a great prof. Had great, easy, and clear expectations for your writing assignments. Never asked you to do to much, he was all about your growth and progress as a writer. Writing subjects were a little boring but manageable. Would take him again.

I was nervous due to the touchy subjects we had to write about but I realized that they made me write more passionately. sloan is a great professor that is extremely nice and approachable. if you have a problem he will work with u and he doesn't grade overly hard for a writing class. his constant sales pitch for the writing center actually paid off
