I LOVE PAM ROBBINS-- easily the funniest and most entertaining professor you will ever have. This class is very interesting as well, take it if you can!! Show up to class! There's no other way to get the material. Thing isn't a big deal though because you wont want to miss. If I could leave you with one thought, "Marry for money!"

When I say this, I am not kidding: she is the best professor I have ever had, hands down. She is the funniest, most interesting and caring history professor this school has. Her lectures are fun, they have so much content that relate to the world today, and she definitely knows not everyone loves history, so she makes it fun. TAKE HER IF YOU CAN!

The best class I have yet to take I loved her class but you for sure need to go to class, I honestly felt left out whenever I missed she makes lectures so interesting and for some reason the info just really sticks in your head because she tells everything almost as a story. She is a MUST take professor!

The best teacher at FSU... super funny and makes the info interesting. Easiest AMH 2097 professor !! recommended to all my friends and they all got A's as well.. attendance is not mandatory but if you go to class and listen you will pass.. gives extra credit out of her jokes she makes in class

Comment:

One of the best professors out there. Really engages with students and with a class like Race, Ethnicity, and Nationality, there is a lot of material to connect with. Very outgoing and bubbly personality. She will help you before, during, and after class as well as office hours. I recommend this class for sure.

Professor Robbins taught one of the most interesting courses I have ever taken. She has one big essay due and you turn in small pieces of it at a time. I went to class every time and did the all the assignments but ended up with a B.

Professor Robbins truly has a gift in teaching. She makes learning fun and her lectures are both interesting and hilarious. Additionally, she has a lot of experience and is knowledgeable and passionate about the subjects she teaches. GO TO CLASS though bc it's always worth it and you'll miss a lot if you don't. Best professor I've had at FSU by far

Comment:

Not only was this a truly interesting class, but Pam is a wonderful hilarious person who makes a 9:30 actually worth going to. She doesn't take attendance but if you don't go to take at least some notes ever you'll have a harder time with the papers. Relatively easy class as long as you're not a complete slacker and you can compare and contrast.

She gives you the notes, you learn the notes verbatim, you get an A. Only challenging thing is writing the papers, but if you go to her office hours she'll help you out. Memorizing a lot of information can be tricky but she repeats important test questions every day. One of the best teachers I've ever had at FSU.

Comment:

you MUST go to class. she is an excellent professor but if you skip class you'll straight up fail. the class/content is 100% lecture based. She is hilarious, has the mouth of a sailor, and is extraordinarily passionate about the subject. I would HIGHLY recommend her. I'm not a history whiz so I struggled in the class.(always have in Hist courses)

Comment:

Pam is an awesome professor and she's hilarious. However, I believe the grading was a little harsh as the papers can be subjective. The tests aren't too bad but her tests don't have word banks for the songs, which were a challenge to remember. Overall, Pam is a great professor and I would definitely take a class with her again.

Comment:

I love Dr. Robbins, she's the best prof I've had at FSU! :) I loved coming to her class. I never got As in high school History and I ended this class with a solid A. She's so hilarious and makes history info digestible and relatable. However, you MUST show up to class EVERY DAY to do well (take good notes!!) and study for the midterm/final.

Just do it. Just take her class at least once while at FSU. It is so worth it, not really for credit but just to enjoy going to a class. Her personality and the way she makes things so interesting are great. Just make sure you don't skip because she does not post notes or outlines online.

Comment:

Awesome teacher and makes class super interesting. Attendance isn't mandatory but it's necessary to go and take notes for the study guides and tests. She does not post powerpoints online but class is pretty funny with her. Kinda hard midterm, but if you study for the tests you'll get an A in the class.

One of the best professors I have had, but YOU HAVE TO WORK FOR YOUR GRADE. Do not expect to take this class for an easy A because the effort you put into it is what you will get back. Also, very important to go to every lecture or you will not pass!
