Comment:

The guy is really not relatable. He doesn't know his stuff enough to make the subject interesting AT ALL. He is so rigid and inflexible and cares little about trying to be understanding of individual needs. I would not recommend this professor to anyone.

I had this professor for both MACRO and MICRO, and the one thing I have to say is STUDY. 4-5 hours a chapter helps tremendously with homework and exams.

You will literally read every single page of the text book, take lots of notes! Watch all the videos! Take more notes! Study his notes! DO THE HOMEWORK. Great professor, always there when I had questions, which was OFTEN. Just be prepared for a good amount of studying. He did replace our lowest grade with our final and offer bonus points

This was the worst experience of my life if you are going to take this class make sure you take a 17 weeks course and it is in class. I took a 8 week course and the teacher was horrible he isnt specific on certain things and the work is hard. You have to take the test at school even though it is online and the teacher is not good at comprimising.

Took his class for credit and all I have gotten to learn is to hate ECON. 100 questions 120 minutes to take them homework is due at 8am tests are too close together. Seemed as though he did not really want to teach anything took it online and when it came down for help there was absolutely no lecture notes nothing helpful whatsoever. DONT TAKE HIM!

The tests are 100 questions over 4-5 chapters in 120 minutes, no scrap paper, no calculator. He says the study the videos, chapters, learning objectives, his instructor notes, the online resources (probably the worst website ever), and yet it isn't very direct on what to actually prioritize for the test. (no study guide)

Very tough class, I don't advice taking it online, requires a lot of reading. Doesn't offer much extra credit, YOU MUST READ THOROUGHLY. I struggled with class and almost abandoned my other classes to make it in his class. 8 week course, I think 16 weeks will be better.

He seemed nice enough. The video's were really helpful. This class was hard. He made us spend time studying HIS economic models along with the books. The tests covered information that was not outlined in the book or his notes. Tests were 50 questions and we only got 60 minutes to do them. There was no time to draw his complicated models.

Mr. Caldwell was a good teacher. Fair, no gray area with him, you either do the homework and come to class or you fail. Very Fair, makes himself avialable all times for questions and assistance. You definately need to do your homework and take notes and study, this is not a SLACKER class.

Great prof. Stats is a tuff subject for a lot of people but he explains it very well.Attendence is a must! He covers a lot of material and his ways are usually easier than the books. Formula sheet provided for the test was a life saver!

Comment:

Caldwell is a nice guy, and available almost always. Send him emails, and drop by his office. Don't stop bugging him until you get it. Focus more on his sample questions, rather than the books, but still, do the Homework! Just like any math class, practice. I failed the first time I took his class, but it really is a great class once you get it.

Took his online 4 wk Micro course. Read the book, watch the videos, and listen to the audio recordings you should do fine. Taking notes on lectures & from the book/study guide help too. Must be dedicated to take this fast-paced class. We did a chapter a day & a test every wk! He explains material in depth and tells you what to expect on tests.

Caldwell is great. He makes a boring subject fun. Do not take him, if you plan on missing class. He won't penalize you but He covers so much that the class gets out of control if you miss more than a couple days.

Somehow he makes statistics interesting. He keeps me laughing all through class. The material covered is not difficult mathematically, but the concepts are sometimes hard to grasp. If you go to class, take notes, and study, you should walk away with an A or B.

Took Macro and Micro online. The professor is helpful, respectful, a little funny, and tries to make it fun. There's lots of material to study, but tests and the class itself are not THAT hard. I would recommend taking.

Go to class and take notes. If you do this you will get a good grade. Stats is diffucult no matter who teaches it. He is really a great teacher but you actually have to study for once. Very willing to help if needed. Instruction is clear. Those who thought he was bad probably never paid attention.

I loved him as a teacher. He really cared if we did well, and always helped outside of class. He is funny too. His tests are very easy, if you do the homework. He makes the class easier to understand, b/c he relates it to real-world problems. Awesome teacher!!!

Tests are difficult, but all information needed on the test is covered in class. Good grade is easily attainable, but you must come to class, do your homework, and take notes. If you slack in this class, your grade will suffer.
