If you're looking to have a bit of a challenge... Cravello is the class to take. He's extremely knowledgeable and can be really funny. The best thing is that he does not sugarcoat so you know how to fix your mistakes. You have the same reading questions for ALL books and 1 essay per book (3-4). Ask questions and utilize the writing resource center.

Professor Cravello is a lively and funny guy. His class however revolves entirely off of one book. A majority of your grade will be based on 3 essays you write through the semester. He gives a lot of feedback after grading each essay and gives a lot of helpful material during lecture.

Professor Cravello is a fair professor when it comes to grading essays. He takes a while to grade the essays only because he gives you a lot of feedback on what it is you can do better next time. You just have to work extra hard if you want an A in his class. Overall, it was a good class.

This class was challenging but I really enjoyed it. Cravello is a funny guy and can give you a lot of help if you ask for it. He is a fair grader on essays but not necessarily an easy one. Grammar is really important to him so if you struggle with it youre going to need extra help. Overall if you put effort in, you will get a good grade.

Take his class seriously, it'll help you with your writing skills. He took this stupid survey in class once, asking students if they've ever been to museums, if they've ever traveled abroad, what's the farthest they've traveled away from home. For what? To make poor students feel self-conscious? I should have reported him to the dept. chair.

Hes pretty chill. 3 papers including a big researched based one at the end. Claims to be a tough grader but I never got lower than a B on his papers. Very specific with what he wants and expects

Great professor. His grading is actually fair. He is very tough on grammar. The class consisted on reading a book and writing 3 essays about it. It is a very challenging book but he is very helpful, especially in office hours. It is not an easy A but if you put in the work you'll be fine.

He was an ok professor. He is very hard on grammar. I hated his essay topics. They were based on the future of books and media, a topic he has been researching his whole life. No tests but a lot of writing in a short period of time. I would not take again he was one of the harder professors for 130.

He is a very sarcastic professor who I found funny, but many were irritated with. There is lots of reading and 3 essays to write. I bought the textbook but never read it, and it was quite expensive. The books required for the essays are necessary. He is very particular on grammar and spelling, and going to the writing center is highly recommended.

To be Honest, If you want an easy grade Cravello is not easy. It is a cool class. Cravello is very intelligent. Very Hard class but not impossible to achieve a good grade. If you do everything how he wants it you should be fine. Go to office hours, he is very helpful. Also do your essays on time and take them to the writing center.

Cravello is a bit intimidating but homework isn't a workload. You have to write a total of 3 essays & and an in-class essay on finals day. The essays are worth a big portion of your grades so it forces you to write well. He gives really good feedback when looking over your drafts! but go to the writing center too its helps soo much.

he doesn't assign many essays, but he is very picky and can be rude through his sarcasm. If you can read difficult books and analyze them well, you should be fine. just attend class everyday and ignore his sarcasm.

Ehh he's pretty mean, there's a few essays and that's about it. His discussions are sometimes done in a circle so "everybody can participate" but no one usually does. He's entitled, picky, and get's really pissed if you miss any classes.
