Nice guy, but really dry material, including the way he teaches it. Most of the material we learn in class has nothing to do with terrorism, but if it does, 95 percent of the class doesn't see the connection. Tests and study guides contain random material and the assignments are long and tedious. He seems cool, but I don't think I'd take him again.

One of the best professors at Hofstra hands down. Genuinely cares about the topic and wants students to succeed. Come to class and do all the mini-homework assignments and you'll get an A.

Professor Krauze is a very intelligent man. He knows the topic very well, as well as a lot of other topics in the social sciences. Just come to class, pay attention, take notes, and do the simple assignments. There are no actual papers. The class is not hard, just takes a little effort. He may go off on things you don't find relevant though

Awesome professor. He is a amazingly passionate about his subject. He opened my eyes to some facts about terrorism and induces some heated debates. The work is very easy. He essentially gave us the questions that were on the midterm. There was one group assignment that was an easy A, and a final. NO PAPERS!. Best class so far at Hofstra

Your liking of him will depend on your intent on learning. If you just want a gen-ed but don't care for the course, it won't be worth the studying. If you find the subject interesting, however, you may love this class. Just take notes from BEGINNING TO END WITHOUT SLACKING OFF, then study for hours and you'll get a good grade. I loved his class.

professor is really BORING!!! I'm currently in his class right now and want to shoot myself.. He is pretty strict on attendance unless u let him know in advance in that case he wont count them against you. midterm and final are brutal and he is a pretty hard grader. besides that he's a nice and understanding guy.

He is a really sweet guy and he is extremely gifted in terrorism. He is a good grader and his lectures are interesting most of the time. However, he gets off topic and I really did not learn that much about terrorism. It was more like a theory class and a religion class.

professor krauze is great. i really think that he is a genius, and his social inequality class was probably one of the most thought provoking that i've ever taking. he's really funny without even trying to be funny. it's not an easy class by any means, but you should still take it because it is worth the work

He is truly a genuine guy who cares about his students. He really wants you to learn. Attendance is absolutely mandatory. Missing one class is like missing five. His tests are not bad but his grading is very tough. Sometimes he doesn't give the student the benefit of the doubt. This class requires a lot of studying and work, but you do learn

Professor Krauze definitely knows his stuff and really wants his students to enjoy it, but his class is entirely lecture-based. Attendance at each class is vital to understanding the material, because it gets very complicated and builds off of previous information. He is a smart guy, but you must put in a LOT of effort if you want a good grade.

Loved him! he's so cute I just wanted to hug him. sometimes he went on tangents and the class got a bit boring at times, but his assignmemts and tests were very fair and semi-easy, as long as you go to class and pay attention, it's an easy A. definitely recommend

very interesting, but lot of information. interesting because it is controversial, and wasn't explored in any of my other classes in depth..i'll just say it. marxism/communism/socialism. but then mid sememster we did some meritocratic**** that was hard and boring. but hes a cute nice old man. i wish he was my grandpa.

He is so sweet and really cares that you understand the information. You must know a little about sociology to take this class. He is comical in his own little way and I think its adorable. He is polish and has an accent so get used to it. But hes one of the SMARTEST professors at hofstra & uu will really learn alot from this class. I love krauze!

Krauze is a complete sweetheart. But don't be fooled by his age, he is quick and will not let you get away with crap. You MUST participate if you don't want the class to be boring. He won't put in the effort if you don't. If you talk and ask questions he will be open for a discussion. Just pull your weight. And don't have an ego, he's way smarter.

hes nice enough i guess but the class was excruciating. there was NO discussion, he just droned on about his favorite topics. i'm a 4.0 student but i found the class hard. also what do MATH problems have to do with sociological theory??!

He was OK. Not so warm. Kind of dry presentation. Very slow moving class, and it was mostly repeated material from SOC004. Not too difficult. I wouldn't advise against his class, but I probably would have enjoyed it more with another professor.

this man drones on and on and often goes off on tangents so far from his original subject that he has to ask what he was saying. the amount of things he expects you to know for the tests is ridiculous and then hardly anything is on them- but they are NOT easy. he's nice as a person but as a professor- steer clear.

If you are not a soc major I wouldn't take him. Alot of notes. Don't buy the textbook, never used it. Very boring, fell asleep alot. As long as you take good notes you'll do ok, he gives study sheets before anything. about 4 tests which were pretty long. Gives alot of info. Overall a nice professor, just boring.

Very unclear!! Doesn't even know what he is teaching most the time, students corrected him a lot. He has no idea what he is doing and his grading is not any different to his lack of teaching skills. I would not take this class if you are not a sociology major!!!
