Comment:
Dr. Baggett was one of the better English teachers I've had. As far as his personality, he's a good guy & teacher. However, he was never really clear on what he wanted out of our papers (5 shortbooks to read, 1 page essay on each). This is okay if you're the type of person who likes freedom in your writing. Coming to class helps to understand more.

He has a very dry sense of humor. Take what he says as joke he means it to be. He is a very liberal nice guy. Make sure to actually read the books he assigns and take notes while reading he uses details from the book that you wont find on any website.

Was not a horrible class, but if you hate writing papers like I do then it can be an annoyance. Read the books, write the papers, be creative if you can. The books aren't super long and the paper doesn't have to be lengthy. He appreciates participation in class.

Overall, He was a good teacher. We had to read 5 books throughout the semester. after every book we would write a short paper on them. tests given were based on books read. I would only take this class if you love to read or if you would take the time to do so. Still managed to do okay in his class despite hating to read. Not too tough of a grader.

Great professor who just asks for a little participation from the class. He doesn't call you out on the spot. You will have a bit of reading to do, but even as someone who hates reading, I did enjoy the books. You write a short paper on each, mainly just your thoughts on it, and have a few small quizzes here and there. Overall, nice and laid-back.

You should buy every book (annoying but you gotta) and read. It's not that hard and the books are pretty good honestly. You write a 1 page paper for each book and he has some pop quizzes here and there but nothing hard at all. He's definitely understanding and cool but a little scatterbrained at times, especially around pretty girls, funny to watch

For his Eng. 214 class he requires 7 different books which I think is ridiculous! He loves to throw quizzes at the students about the reading. I would not take professor Baggett again. How ever if you read the book regilously and write amazing essays you'll do okay

Dr. B's is an excellent teacher I hope I can another one of his classes. We read many plays that I found interesting. I learned a lot about not only the plays but also the times and places where they were written. I learned about Greece, England, Norway, South Africa, and Germany--all places I hope to go someday. If you want to learn, take his clas

I took two of Dr. Baggett's classes and I plan on taking him again. His choice of essays for both classes challenged me to really think about what is important. For the first time, I was asked to think for myself and to share my ideas. There were a few weak readers in our class who, in my opinion, who need tutoring to read at college level

I had this professor for Brit Lit and it literally was one of the worst decisions of my college career. If you can avoid this man I definitely recommend that you do! I wouldn't wish this man on my worst enemy. His classes are nothing but him rambling on about nothing and you feel so confused once you leave. And he's not the nicest person to talk to

Not completely horrible.... but VERY unclear about assignments. He's a very nice man, but gets off topic easily and just begins to ramble. There are pop quizzes, but if you read the book you should be fine. There are only like 3 essays assigned all semester, but there are short essays (1 page, single spaced) assigned often.

Professor Baggett is not horrible. He's a little unorganized and he doesn't update you a lot but for the most part he's a decent professor. He gives feedback on papers and you only write like three the whole semester. Other writing assignments that aren't major are easy A's. He does give hard exams but he always curves them a lot. Not a hard class.

Do NOT and I repeat Do NOT take a course with this man. EVER! He was the most confusing professor I've ever had. His grading system sucks, he never does anything on time so you're like wondering where you stand in the class all semester. Avoid him as a teacher if possible. Getting an A is not easy in his class. He's just all over the place.

Do not take ANY course with this professor. You will learn nothing, your grade will suffer for it, and you will be better off with picking a different professor. All he does is talk, he has a TERRIBLE grading system, and he is one of the most incompetent people I've even seen in an education setting. How he is still teaching I do not know.
