I've heard horrible stories about Blick's character, but he wasn't too bad. Taking This Island Earth was easy. I never read the book, just studied his lecture notes that he gave us and made an A. The only hard and time consuming thing is a 20 minute presentation at the end of the semester, but you get to choose your own topic. Just go to class!

This class was so easy. we only had two tests, so you needed to do well, but they weren't hard at all. He's kind of inappropriate, but it's just part of his personality. I personally really liked the guy and thought the class was fun; I would recommend taking it.

Easiest class I have ever taken in my life! Attendance counts as a test grade and if you come in late he will still count you present. Really relaxed and made the class interesting and gave tons of extra credit! Easy A if you show up and do the extra credit(which in my class was watching movies)! Take this class!

you have to go to class. he'll either call roll or pass around a sign-in sheet. attendance was 20%, midterm 40%, and final 40%. the final was straight from the power point handouts that he gives you and the final was handouts and information from the book, that nobody read. everyone just sleeps through class.i got an 87, but studied hard for tests.

Dr. Blick is a hard class. You do have to go, but if you should miss he takes like 2 points off your attendance grade. Tests are hard though. You have to study like crazy for them. The last test was the killer. He had stuff on there we hadn't covered. Blick is hilarious though. If you're easily disgusted, don't take him. Otherwise, he's okay.

This class is pretty easy. You HAVE to go because he is a freak about attendance and takes off everytime you miss. Test questions are straight from the book and notes, which he passes out copies of. He gives tons of extra credit too. Minimal effort needed to do well, but the class is boring and Dr.Blick is weird as hell. Take it to boost your GPA.

well i was super interested in archaeology before i took this class but sadly enough he is very bland during his lectures. he gets side tracked alot with what he likes and not what is actually on the tests or anything. we spent a good month on corn and it was to say the least boring not a hard class just a boring one

I really liked this class. THe lectures do get boring since all he does is discuss the powerpoints, but at least he doesn't just read them straight off. The grade is based on attendance and tests, but he offers plenty of extra credit. Study the night before exams and you'll do fine.

Dr Blick is a good guy who's a little over-concerned with the environment. Tests are mildly difficult- make sure you memorize ALL his facts and you'll be okay. Attendance is mandatory and class is long, but he'll get you really interested in saving the planet.

I took Dr. Blick for Environmental Ethics. This was a class that I had NO interest in at all, but he made class alright. He has a refreshing sense of humor which makes class more lively. His tests can be pretty difficult, but he gives you all the materials you need to do well. You just have to study!

No need to take notes--Dr. Blick hands them out for you, and it's a direct printout of his powerpoint. Read the readings, memorize the handouts, and you can't go wrong. He's got a great personality, a little zealous, but not overboard. Good sense of humor, though don't be late to his classes (or sleep, either). Tests could be easier, though.

His tests are a little difficult, but the study guides and books help. Go to class because he's super strict on attendance. He knows A LOT about what he's teaching so that always makes class more interesting. He's a goof ball at times when you don't expect it, so thats a nice relief from lecture.
