I took poetry just because I needed the credits to pass, so I didn't care much about the subject and honestly she's an amazing teacher. It requires some work but it's worth it. 4 Essays which are a pain, and a final exam. Other than that, you work in groups alot so you get to become pretty friendly with your classmates, definitely would take again!

I loved her class! Very good with communication and her comments where extremely helpful. I learned a lot from her class! She really went in-depth with poetry more so then I thought the class would be like. It was harder than I thought it would be but very much rewarding. I feel that I walked away with a very good knowledge of poetry!

Professor Daniels is the best professor at NOVA! Not only does she provide very helpful comments on your writing (how you can develop your characters, how do you seem them in different situations, etc) but she's also very interested in helping her students succeed outside of class. Just show a bit of interest and she'll go all the way to help.

Not only does she facilitate discussion better than any of my previous instructors, she provides wonderful, thought-provoking comments on your writing so that you can become as good as you can possibly be. Professor Daniels is a very kind and helpful teacher. Her class is fairly easy. One major paper and presentation, two tests, and 10 mini quizzes. You have to read a lot, so be ready. The tests are very easy, and that really helps. She cares about everyone's opinion. She never looked down on anyone no matter how dumb their comment. Great teacher.

I'm so glad that I took her Intro to Poetry class! Professor Daniels understood that the majority of the students there weren't remotely interested in poetry and didn't make it unbearably difficult for those students. She's a great teacher who just wants you to succeed. If you got anything lower than a B, you didn't try.

I'm so glad I took this class. It helped me improve my English writing skill tremendously. Lot of hard-to-read stuffs but it will really help you improve your English. The professor is also very clear and helpful with both in class and in office hours.

SO glad I took Creative Writing with Professor Daniels, she was extremely helpful & knowledgeable. Although I was afraid this class was going to be difficult, I'm glad I took it. Professor Daniels helped me with my writing & story telling. I would definitely recommend her to anyone. She's amazing & super super super nice! Take her!!

She is probably the best teacher you can have for old Eng Lit. She is very clear, the discussions in class are helpful & engaging, and she is a nice person. Don't take the class if English is not your 1st language or if you are taking other hard classes. Readings are interesting but really long and just takes a lot of time from your other classes

Professor Daniels is an amazing teacher! She is always available to help her students and answer any questions you may have. She is strict on tardiness and attendance, but she lets you know if you have excessive tardies or absences. Do the work and you'll succeed. I am going to take her again this summer for poetry! TAKE HER!

Her exams are very hard! You have to complete 4 short answers and a 5 paragraph essay in 3 hrs handwritten with little grammatical errors and almost a perfect organization to get at least a B. By the way, her quizzes are very easy. Very easy to get a A on those but they only count 2pts. so you have to do well on the exams.

loved her. she does count tardiness against you so be careful there but other than that she's just fantastic, very enthusiastic about creative writing and highly encouraging. if she taught another creative writing class at nova i'd sign up in a heartbeat.

She is a great teacher. She puts just as much care grading your paper as you do making them, which is refreshing. It seems like she, unlike some English teachers, enjoys her students work. Papers are not just grades to be handed out but have meaning and are discussed with constructive criticism and positive feedback. You won't find a better teacher

This class was VERY enjoyable. I was hesitant on continuing the course, but this professor really gave me a fun learning experience. Tests were fun to do if you're prepared, as were the quizzes (one question quizzes). If you are mandated to enroll into this class, Professor Daniels is the best there is. LOVED IT!

She is really a great instrutor, her classes are very interesting. She takes time out to explain the material to her students, she cares alot. Her quizes are easy if you read b4 class and the exams are not bad at all.I recommend her for anyone who has to take Eng241 or English period.

Great professor. It's not as much as lectures of more discussions. I think this semester's class was very interesting. Do the reading assignments, study before exams and be prepared for any quizzes. You should be okay.
