This class really expanded my repertoire on the history of student activism. Lots of great discussions, and the work was really manageable. The final project was actually a lot of fun to do, and gave the class strong creative license.

She's a good professor and she has a specific agenda for her class so you won't be left floating. She takes things pretty seriously and doesn't have the kind of charisma of some teachers. If you want, you can improve your writing in this class but it is mostly dependent on your own effort. I expected much more work in the class than there was.

She is an awful professor. She always tries to manipulate your thoughts by saying "What I hear you saying is '(insert something that you didn't mean)'" SHe told us that we could call her however we wanted during the course and then got angry when we didn't call her professor or doctor. Never take a class with her, none of my classmates liked her.

She's great! I have really enjoyed being in her class, and if you have any trouble, she's always there to help. Plus, our projects are pretty cool and they really get you to think about real world applications

I am very disappointed because I chose her after reading good comments here and looking at the rankings. Not a good teacher at all... Its hard to talk to her and to suggest ideas. She is very defensive when she talks and classes are extremely boring

Wonderful professor if you are interested in the material. You get out of this class however much you put into it. If you are interested in the topic, I strongly recommend you take this class with Ahern-Dodson.

A great teacher! Her writing 20 class is a lot of fun, she's very friendly, and there's not much work to be done. You might be thrown off by the tutoring aspect of her class, but it's worth it. She's great
