Professor Friedman was a absolutely amazing Professor. He has a great positive attitude and made history class fun. His class is really easy, just do the work and youll be fine. Im really going to miss having him as a professor. If you are thinking of taking a history class definitely take a American History Class with him.

Comment:

The textbook is mainly needed for the tests which are just essay questions you choose. Depending on the day of class I recommend you start early. Quizzes are always open book so take good notes or even record a voice memo if you miss something while note taking. Also there are questions which stand as homework which I recommend you get done asap

Prof Friedman is a really good guy. He's always in an uplifting mood and never got nasty with anyone. He'll probably remind you of your sweet grandpa who LOVES history. He knows what he's talking about and gives you all the info you need for test/quizzes. He lectures a lot but you'll prob get out early. You don't need a book and there's barley hw.

Comment:

Prof Friedman is a really good professor I would highly recommend. He really makes an attempt to get to know everyone. He does lecture all class, but you always get out at least an hour early, which is a plus. He gives open note quizzes which are very easy if you take notes. If you go to class and pay attention, guaranteed pass!

Comment:

One of the best professors at Brookdale by far. He doesn't overload you with work. Doesn't use canvas which if you ask me is a plus. He is actually a real professor that takes his job seriously and loves what he does. show up pay attention and do the work you will pass.

Professor Friedman was my favorite college professor so far, and I hate history. He made it interesting, and you can tell he loves what he does and is extremely knowledgeable. He is funny and keeps things interesting and relevant. He is so kind and genuinely cares about his students. He is clear what needs to be done to get an A! Would take again!!

I LOVED this class so much! We ended early every class, quiz' were open notes and the exams were all take home! But what I loved even more than that was Professor Friedman. He is the most caring professor in the world. He really cares about his students and wants to help them succeed. His lectures were funny and he made me love History even more!

professor Friedman is the only professor Ive had in my whole college career that I actually feel cared about me. If you have an issue or something comes up and you need help or an extension, he will work with you but only if your reason is genuine ( hes good at sniffing out a liar). Highly recommend

Professor Friedman was an incredible professor that every student should have the experience of taking. He gives a few quizzes but they are all open notes! He gives 2 exam and they are take home written exams. He assigns a movie review on the first day of class & it isn't due until the last day of class. He is a teacher that you will never forget.

Professor Friedman is a really nice guy. Makes lots of old and fun jokes all the time. You can tell he really likes history by his lectures. Relates to real world experiences. Gives the occasional HW and paper. For one paper you get to pick a history movie and write a paper on it. Kinda hard to contact sometimes but would def take again.

He doesn't give enough time for the exams that are 2 essay questions answered in 9 paragraphs each due the following week. He's all over the place and once he repeated another lecture from the previous class.... He tells you you'll get out early every class and keeps you over by 15 min when you have other classes! He doesn't follow his syllabus!!!!

He goes off on a lot of tangents that are completely unrelated. He claims he will end class early but never does. He hands out a grading scale that's numbers but grades everything with a letter. Midterm and final are two take home essays

He 's amazing teacher! I lovedddddd that class. He made lectures fun and interesting. We only had like 2 quizzes which were honestly super easy. And the essays were easy as well and he is not a hard grader. The movie project was great too! If he taught other history classes I would totally take him again!

He won't tell you what's specifically on quizzes. He nicely jokes about something totally irrelevant, which is entertaining, but when it comes to 10 qs quizzes with tough qs, it is important to know exactly what to study, seeing as the lectures are fun so you end up taking 6-7 page notes per class. Great guy & teacher, not for everybody.

Caring, funny, enthusiastic & knowledgable. Entertaining lectures. No pop quizzespower points. Don't need textbook. Dislike- 7 quizzes, only a few qs & they're hard so if you study alot you may only get a C. No exams, lots of papers, 4 long, 10 short. Goes off topic. I like being able to pass if I study hard, so I wouldn't take him again.

Best history teacher I've ever had. Funny and goofy but overall great guy. Doesn't like using power point which people don't like because than they have to pay attention, but an easy class to do well
