Comment:

If you are a business major you will have to take business law, and Spencer is the only professor at VC who offers the course. Don't let the other reviews scare you away though. Although at times I didn't like him, I did learn a lot. If you show up for every class, take notes, and read the book you will pass with an A. Tests are open notes.

Comment:

Sadly, the reviews are true. He's a decent guy and actually pretty funny. However, he gets a bit defensive when you question the material. Prepare to spend $8 on Scrantons for H.W & Exams. Homework is easy and takes about 30 mins to do. Exams are HARD. Outline each chapter in detail and stay organized. Exams are open notes (handwritten). Goodluck!

honestly, this class is fairly easy. at first you may feel like its overwhelming, but as the semester goes on you'll get in the hang of the way he does things. he tries to be funny, but if you laugh he'll give you participation points. he's a nice man. the lectures are just kind of really boring tho. open notes tests tho!

First homework does take a long time we took the time-crunched course in the summer. First two test consist of multiple choice questions and breaking down situations and explaining the "what would happen" situation and outcome. last test the final was not that bad, attendance is important even after the break. "WORDS OF PROMISE" you'll hear a lot.

Class SEEMS hard but stick with it and laugh at his humour which was never funny! First 2 tests were hard but stick with it because last test majority grade counts and if you study u should get a decent grade

He calls himself an 'abrubt jerk' and it is true. He says he gives points for participation but does not seem to encourage it. He is constantly cutting people off or treating the class like they are stupid.
