I LOVE THIS GUY!! I've taken him twice now and he is amazing!! I took 0028 with a different teacher and failed, then took his class and literally never got a test grade lower than an 87%!! He is the best and can make anyone get a good grade in math. Take him!!

Joel rules, he's down to earth, teaches what you need to know to pass. His homework and tests are very helpful. My advice is to take practice tests, they are the same as they would be on the real test.

He's a great professor!!!! I'm horrible at math and I never got anything lower than an 89 in his hybrid class. He never uses the text book, so don't buy it. All in all, he's AMAZING! Takes forever to email back though. Take him if you want an A.

I love this guy. He's the best teacher to take if you're not good at math. He goes over questions if you have any. Book not required, attendance is only mandatory the first few weeks of class. If you don't understand things you have to ask, also theres a SL teacher before all his classes. EASY A!!!!!!!!

teaching method is laid back. Rarely uses the book. He acts like his job at VCC is unimportant, so he doesnt put more effort into it as his day job at a local h.s. where he teaches AP calculus. He really does not go out the way to ensure you understand the material. Its either sink or swim on your own!SO if you take him be prepared for the worst.

Had a previous teacher that just taught from the book, Mr Brielmaier is a great teacher I am currently in his class, I am pleased I took his class he makes sure you understand before he moves on and is always willing to help you, the way he explains it even a person who does not like math will enjoy his class. hybrid class: This professor was good at showing me new ways of doing math but understand that this is a standalone math class, you need to be able to go home and study your butt off. I passed the final exit exam because I studied while at home. Brielmaier gave plenty of online homework, which helped me understand things better. answers emails fast

Absolutely love this teacher. He is the best math teacher anyone could every have. I have taken him for 0012 and now for 0024. I have never understood math until I enrolled into his course. He explains everything with great detail and makes sure that you understand before moving on. I wish he could teach all the math courses. I highly reccommend

He was awesome!! If I get the chance to take him again I will. He will not move on from the lesson until he's sure everyone has understood and he's very approachable. He is the nicest math teacher I've ever had and he lets you turn in your homework whenever. You don't have to buy the book, just the code for a website, which is way less the book.
