Comment:

You can tell that he is really smart, but he has a hard time articulating that others. His assignments are hard and his feedback left me lost. I got a B in the class because he grades a bit softer. He has some humor in class which can keep you entertained while you are taking a very boring subject.

Could not clear up problems. Lectures were more student driven. Majority of lecture is watching powerpoints with someone else narrating. Even admitted to not knowing how to do subject in 'real world, glad he can teach it.' You can feel that he is a smart person, but he can't translate that to a titillating lecture that seems teachable.

Aloysius is definitely not the easiest professor at the University. That said, he is very devoted to his work and teaching. He is sometimes a little unclear and nervous-sounding in class, but you can tell that he is brilliant underneath it all. I would do all of the homework (not graded) and attend class regularly, and it will not be bad.

of all the bstat teachers to take, he's by far one of the best. he's very helpful and tries not to fail people

If you get hands on his prior tests and study them - you'll do fine. He's very consistant on the tests with what he covers in class. Do all the practice problems that he assigns. There're other assignments (creating models) - very helpful for FINN majors.

I thought he did a really good job for his first time teaching BSTAT. He explains things in a way that make them easy to understand. If you go to class everyday it's not hard to get an 'A'.

Very good professor for stats. It was his first time teaching b.stat but he did a good job. Do your reading and you'll ace the quizzes.
