This professor checks on everyone to make sure you understand the material. He gives interesting projects, but he is picky with grades. He actually does the whole project before you get started on it so take notes! it's helpful!

Prof. Clisset is a great professor, very knowledgeable in all softwares. Lectures are useful if your new to Adobe softwares. Attend class or else you miss important info & what exactly he is asking for in your projects. Fast paste type of class so def. keep up with his assignments. Reasonable Grader. Gives you time to finish even after projects due

I think the senior projects class could be improved a lot, but I wouldn't say that it's entirely Clisset's fault. He checks each students work one by one every class, which is good in theory, but I don't find it helpful. His animation industry experience is from years ago so his advice is outdated and unhelpful.

John is very caring, offers help, gives his best feedback on your projects, and gives you the whole semester to revise your work and turn it in for a better grade. His 1-2 hour long lectures can get pretty boring if you already know how to use Adobe software (he just goes slow and sometimes repeats lectures to make sure everyone understands it).

Senior Projects is a waste of time, but he made it easy & straight to the point. I recommend ANIMATION major to take him, but anyone can take him. Has a hard time hearing so speak loud and clear to him. Lectures 1hr long (boring) instead of 3. Short writing assignments, build portfolio online & print, business card, resume & cover letter.

Decent teacher. Helpful in many ways, but not in some. If you try your best he will give you an A. He has trouble hearing and can't understand his student speak sometimes, and that could become a problem for many.

The class moves kind of slow and everything is pretty much covered in the first 100 pages of the 'Maya 8 at a Glance' book which has big text and pretty pictures. To be honest, I think ones better off just reading that book, being active on a cgi forum, and watching YouTube tutorials which are abundant and easy to follow.

Professor Clisset is an awesome teacher. Maya is a difficult program and he goes slowly and makes sure everyone understands what they are doing. I learned a lot. He is easy to talk to when you need help. Great Teacher.

Two weeks in and I've learned so much. Love this professor. He is awesome and he really knows his stuff. He will advise you to buy some books. You don't need to BUT YOU SHOULD buy at least a few. THEY WILL HELP YOU especially if you need help as a character designer.

He's a good teacher. Just got annoying with the constant checkup. It's like he goes around the room 3 times one by one and it's hard when you're at one end of the room waiting for him to come by. He's alright.

Very nice and helpful. But it can be a lot of work, most I know had to spend a lot of extra time working on the projects in the lab using Maya. So if you're busy and wont have much time out of the class beware, your projects may suffer a bit. He tends to lecture very quickly, so be fast at taking notes. Over all a wonderful teacher :3.

Good. back in comp anim. 2a/2b it was hard getting help due to so many people in the class. Now since the class is smaller i can get all the help i want. Has good tips for Maya, but doesnt teach the industry way of animation, its more like the poor man's way of the basics. thats my only complaint

The class style need to be re-formulated. Clisset teaches 2 classes at the same time, and at times he is not available. The school also needs faster computer, better rendering(faster) and more choices for teacher. He is okay! Could improve a little!
