Comment:
This is possibly the most pointless class I have ever taken. He is malicious in his choice of questions, half of which seem to be taken out of thin air. Even the questions from the book are on the most irrelevant, unimportant trivia he can find. Plus, he's hugely boring and probably senile. I learned nothing but spent way too much time memorizing.

All I have to say is, China is taking over the world. And is number one in every stat that comes out of John Copper's mouth. This class is the dryest I've ever sat through, the tests the most ridiculous, and the amount of learning and motiavation is definitely at a level of zero. Its definitely not my favorite, but my least favorite.

There's a lot of reading and he really knows his stuff (specializes in East Asia), but he's incredibly boring. Taught by the right professor, this could be a really intersting class. Questions on tests and quizzes are way too nitpicky. At least he curves.

Dr. Copper is extremely knowledgeable in his field, and the volume of books and articles he has written throughout his career is a testament to this fact. He is an extremely nice man. Don't freak out about the huge load of readings and difficult tests; your grade will be ok in the end.

Terrible, just terrible. Praying for a curve that I don't think is going to happen. I'm near the top of the class with a C average.

Comment:
Prof. Copper is very dry and often extremely boring, though he does seem to have a lot of knowledge. That being said, the Great Decisions in Foreign Policy course was really easy. I've heard that Copper is more difficult in other courses.
