Dr. Smith is a charismatic, approachable, and erudite instructor. If you feel that you are 'bad' at English or struggle with the subject, then this class is for you, as Dr. Smith communicates clearly and is helpful. If you love English and want to learn new things, this class is also for you. That being said, if you expect to pass, do the work!

Smith is a fabulous professor! I am not a big fan of English and writing classes but he made the class enjoyable and bearable. I Recommend taking him as his lectures are great and his feedback on essays are very helpful.

He is a great Professor. He wants to know that you have read the material and you understand it. He gives plenty of opportunities for bonus points. This was online, but he gave great lectures that really helped you to understand the works you are studying. You can tell his a passionate about what he does and truly cares about the students.

I found that Mr. Smith graded based on if he agreed with your paper and not on if it was well written. It a very difficult class that requires a big time commitment. However, he is very caring of his students and always tries to help.

Prof. Smith is a funny guy. Gets sidetracked during lecture sometimes but is an excellent teacher. Clear grading criteria and willing to help you with Abby issues you are having, responds super fast to emails. He is a tough grader on content, but is really chill about structure/format. If you actually do what the assignment says, you should pass

I took Professor Smith's class online. The key to success in this class is to keep in contact(I used e-mail) with him. If you don't take your time on papers, he will know, and he will grade accordingly. Keep in mind that professors have the capability to see if you actually looked through all of the modules and lectures. Read the material he lists!

I took Dr. Smith for 3 consecutive semesters, for ENGL 1301, 1302, and Science Fiction Literature. I thought I hated writing, but I thoroughly enjoyed every class and even switched my major to English. Dr. Smith is a very effective instructor and is always willing to help you succeed. He has been by far my favorite instructor at WC.

Professor Smith is great at what he does. He replies to emails quickly, and really knows what he's talking about. He has video lectures which I found very helpful. He usually gives you three weeks per paper and a few assignments in-between. The only negative thing I will say is he is a tough grader and doesn't give much explanation as to why.

Good professor who knows how to actually teach. He can be funny at times when he's trying to get his point across. The man actually cares about the quality of the paper instead of the specifications like the word count or MLA citation.

I took Dr. Smith class ENG1301 Online. He responds quickly to emails and really responds to your questions. He is clear about what he is looking for in his papers. I would take his class again. He is a GREAT professor.
