Comment:

Professor Drummond was one of the most engaging professors I have ever had and his lectures sparked thoughtful questions and discussions. Very fair grader, easy to do well if you come to class and do all of your work on time. Definitely take his Phenomenology class if you have the chance!

Comment:

I came into this class very excited as existentialism is a topic I have been wanting to learn about, however, Drummond completely killed it. Very harsh grader, not especially helpful, not a captivating lecturer. I have been very happy with all of my philosophy professors at Fordham; this is the first time I have really dreaded a philosophy class.

Funny guy with a dry sense of humor. A lot of 1-2 page writting assignments, but only marked with a check. Two 4-5 page papers and a take home essay final. Classes are all discussion and mandatory. Do the reading and you can keep up in class and he will love you for it. recommended for the mandatory course.

Professor Drummond is an excellent lecturer who gives clear and defined interpretations of philosophical principles. If you want to learn something significant about philosophy and the world around you, this is the class to take. Dont just take him for an easy grade.

Philosophy class shouldn't be a cakewalk. It should be thought inducing. Drummond is an amazing, approachable, and BRILLIANT lecturer and teacher. If you're having trouble, seek him outside of class. People are complaining that he grades papers hard. LEARN HOW TO WRITE AND COME UP WITH NOVEL IDEAS. The problem isn't him people, it's all of you.

Probably the worst teacher I've ever had. 1. He's extremely bias, grades well written papers poorly if he disagrees with the topic. 2. Can't talk to the guy outside of class because he's simply unwilling to help anyone. 3. I could go on ad infinitum. . .

Great professor and a great class that gets you thinking about political questions relevant today. No tests, only papers (he expects good, with original ideas) and lots of class discussions based on readings.
