Comment:

This is the third course I have taken with Dr. Jayachandran. I really do enjoy his classes. He makes sure to explain things over and over, to make sure that he really drives the information home. I like how Dr. J set up 405- with lots of time to work on our research project. He gives a pretty clear study outline for the exams, follow them.

FANTASTIC! He genuinely cares about the success of his students and is great at chunking stats concepts so it's easy to follow (even for mathematically challenged students like me). He regularly checks in with you to make sure you understand and will repeat until you do. He outlines literally everything that will be on his exams so you're prepared

Super understanding that life happens and that you won't always be able to make it. Very clear and concise about what you need to know for your exams but you need to be in class because he doesn't post his notes online and he mostly tests on class material.

Really good Professor, he tries really hard to work around students issues and difficulties. At the same time he can detect lies instantly, don't try to make up excuses for an extension if it isn't real, because he will give harder makeup assignments and tests, I know a few students who tried this and failed miserably.

If I could take John for every soc class I would have. He takes the time to make sure you are understanding the mineral and will help you through the course content if you require the help. All he ask for is for you to try to not miss any classes but if you do, just email him. Very understanding and just a gem of a teacher.

He's a great proff, his notes are very clear and he is a very good teacher. He always gives extra print out notes to help students understand what he's teaching. He teaches at a good speed so you leave class feeling like you remember everything he just taught you. He really makes sure student are prepared for exams.

I found Statistics to be very confusing. His teaching method is all over the place. He is a very nice person however. I spent alot of time on the assignments. They are worth a good portion of your mark and will help you with the long answer questions on the tests. Overall, nice guy, confusing teacher. I got a tutor and taught myself.

Important to attend each class. Dr. J repeats the points that may be crucial for exams and assignments. Do well in assignments; they are designed to up your marks (He makes them quite manageable, too.). In assignments, be sure to explain in detail. Apparently, he likes--no, loves-- repetition.
