Lofty is a great mentor and professor, as long as you ok with certain quirks. Papers aren't graded, but "edited", allowing students to rewrite them multiple times for a better grade. He doesn't use Blackboard (thank goodness) which means students have a LOT of paper to keep track of. Facetime is big with Lofty, show up, try hard, ask questions = B.

Loftys the man. if you want to know your grade just ask him. you can tell he enjoys what he does, and wants to help his students get A's. hes very approachable and overall a great guy. he lets you revise all of your papers for better grades.

Great guy, great teacher. At times, he seems more like a guidance counselor than "just a teacher". Always up for discussing content areas or life areas. High amount of respect for students.

While I think he is a great guy, his goals and syllabus are very unclear. He gives assignments orally and then expects specific criteria within them. He also doesn't give grades on your papers until the end of the semester, so it's nearly impossible to know your progress. He needs to work on his clarity, but is a good person.
