I've only been in the class for a short time and I've been trying to figure out how to get out of it. Reads from his notes for lecture. You watch him do the lab on the computer at the front of the room. It doesn't seem like he cares about his students or want to be there. Be prepared to teach yourself when you get home. Class is a waste of time.

An amazing professor and i can say that again. For those hating on him about long pre test questions and and all shame on u all because u want everything on a silver plater and don't seem to want to put extra effort in anything. if u hate on such a professor it only means one thing that you need to rethink about your career choices....

He gives pretest questions but like about 200 questions per chapter . If you want to study a lot of questions and do tests of 200 questions in 1 hour , feel free and take his class . If I was told , I wouldn't . He is a great teacher . He is just too smart to be just a professor so sometimes it is hard to understand him .

He is a good instructor, had him for Anatomy I and Medical Microbiology. Uses his own notes a lot and lab books, but you don't want to forget about the readings. Really helpful with questions and class discussions. Make sure to pay attention covers a lot of material and gives a lot of study material.

Lopriore is easy but you will learn nothing. He does not use any type of learning tools in his classes. After exam there is nothing to remember. Horrific for any type of healthcare student. Good if you are looking to get through it, not good if you need to build a base for learning.

He was nice teacher, but he just read from his notes. This made the class long and boring.He does give pre tests but they are 150 questions long, and there are two systems to an exam. So if you wanna make 300-400 notecards/exam be my guest. But just a warning this was a difficult class, and I would only recommend high rated. teachers

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE NOT TO PASS THIS CLASS! He gives you study packets that u fill out in class that exactly like the tests. There is no homework, and he doesn't seem to care about the class. He rarely keeps attendance, but does have outbursts over the weirdest stuff and screams..doesn't like when students ask questions either. So sit there..get an A!

Good Professor. Took for Medical Micro. Tests are difficult, a lot of material to learn, must attend lecture and lab, be on time, and STUDY. He gives pretests which help you prepare for exam. Some material is out of date, but he will modify if you let him know. If you want to do well, you need to do the work.

Seemed nice at first, but then he yelled at the class because a few people were slower to write down the notes than he wanted them to be. It's a tough subject and he doesn't seem to understand that not everyone processes this kind of information at his desired speed and may need some more time to write down the notes than others will need.

Had for anatomy & Ph. Attend every class to follow along with his hand written notes to fill in the blanks. Study his notes well. Sometimes there is a mistake in his end of notes quizzes that you need to question him about and catch by reading over and over. His handout quizzes are exact questions to his exam (minus the incorrect questions/answers)

Professor Lopriore is amazing! The main niche with him is LISTENING! If you listen, you will do fine. Study his notes and TAKE notes, and make sure you really study that pre-test! Cant wait for my second A&P class with him! Oh - and if you love to ask questions every five minutes and disrupt class.. this is not for you!!!!

Go to class, study the notes, and do the practice tests and you will do well. He is a great guy and is always available for extra help. I have him for lab too and he is very thorough. I have learned a lot from him and plan on taking A&P II with him this summer.

Comment:

Cons: The microbial taxonomy that he teaches is very outdated; he tests solely based on his own notes which are full of creative usage of English (run-on sentences, etc.). Pros: In lab, he succeeds in teaching the relevant techniques; if you study his notes religiously, you'll get a good grade, even if your knowledge of micro doesn't advance much.

Great teacher, he taught with such simplicit which made it so easy to pass. Glad I had him and not someone else. Advice to all, study hard, do the extra credits, don't talk and interrupt while he speaking, attend class and you should be fine. ps: don't be on your cell phones, have some respect for others.

Who ever did not pass this class, well,there's not much I can say about them. However, prof. Lopriore is one of the best. Once you studied and did your extra credits you had to pass. However,most people expect to pass without doing the work. Party all week long, then gives excuses to get a passing grade, then they complain when they fail!

Was very bad. Not helpful at all. Hated his lecture style. He was such a tight ass in class!! Got mad if you asked questions during lecture. Marked questions wrong even when they were correct on test. Had to talk to him to change my test grade a couple times. I hated him. I will never take another class with him.
