Sitting in his class is pure agony to me, as he is extremely boring. I am in my last year of college and have surpassed the basics of writing through countless research papers in different courses. Coming from NMC to Ferris, Mr. Pahl has changed nothing of his curriculum, as it seems, other than his textbook. This feels like English 101.

very intelligent man, but not a good teacher at all. it takes him about 20 minutes to communicate a single thought...and he rambles about things that are completely off topic. i love english but dreaded his class every week.

had him for creative writing and loved it! He was very helpful in comments that he gave back,and had many times that you could stop in his office and talk about spots you were stuck on in your stories, and he usually gave you a couple of ideas to go off from...

Great teacher and a really nice guy. I loved his class and he knows so much about life. He takes time to talk with students and actually notices when you miss class. If you do his work and put meaning into your writing you can get a 4.0. Great teacher if you can take Mr. Pahl.

J.P. was the best! I've been to two other colleges in the last 2 years, and I've never had a better prof.He works with you to help you understand difficult concepts and helps you work towards your potential. Very interesting and funny-likes to talk about sex.
