Comment:

Though Dr. Roberts is clearly not for everyone, I learned a great deal from him. He's quite brilliant and funny, though a bit hard to get in touch with sometimes. I don't think he's actually at UNM anymore though.

Had him over summer. Extreme amount of info in a summer session. Notes not clear for tests this is the hardest class I've had to take. His humor is hysterical if u can understand it

Very smart man who knows the material, but I feel like we've spent more time regulating on who is texting in class, tangents about how well the markers write, and the arrangement of the tables, than actually learning helpful material.

Dr. Roberts loves the subjects he teaches and makes stats & social research as clear and interesting as it can be to an undergrad. The people who leave neg. comments expect to have their hands held the semester. There is a quiz, a midterm, a final & a paper. You must attend class, but he is clear on what he expects. Gives mult examples & handouts.

He isn't very clear on what he wants. He has a quiz, a midterm, a final and a final paper. He is very vague on what he is gonna put on any of the tests, he basically says all the material he's covered will be on the test. You MUST attend class otherwise you'll fall behind on the notes. He doesn't have a book and he won't give you his.

DO NOT take this professor. He doesn't have a textbook or powerpoint slides so everything is stickly notes. When he lectures she isn't clear or doesn't make sense. All he does is ramble. He is my only C grade I have received in the soc department. His test reviews are the worst and useless.

all i have to say is for all of you that have written on here that he was a good teacher you clearly did not go to class or even talk to this man. he is compleatly out of his mind. he thinks that everyone is as smart as heimself in his field of study. Do not take this class with this man you will compleatly regret it please dont take him.

The material is hard, but everything in the notes in on the tests, so read them everyday. He's a funny guy and will keep you interested, give the class a chance and you will enjoy it. Also, this class is essential for Grad school.

So this is a mandatory class for soc and crim majors, and I'm sorry. It's not a bad class or teacher, but UNM should have more that just one class to prepare you for this. Roberts doesn't seem to know much about theory, only math. Makes it difficult to put the whole subject together. DO NOT TEXT IN THIS CLASS!!

He's SO funny and a little random but incredibly intelligent and a great teacher. Some people don't like him because his humor and teaching style are over their heads.

Tough class! Subject matter is difficult and often uninteresting, but terribly important to Soc majors. This man knows his stuff. Brilliant and funny. If you want more from this class than just a passing grade, here's your man.

A difficult professor, but this is difficult and dull course material. He writes EVERY WORD he utters on the board and will go over anything you desire in copious detail. So ask for help if (*when*) you need it. He's also got a great sense of humor!
