Prof. Ausubel was such a good teacher for English. I thought his class was easy & he goes at a good pace for time to learn the material. I wish I took him again for 1A. He is a dork but makes the class fun & not boring. Whatever he talks about as far as the material.. take note! Essays were easy. Would love to have his class again

He is a very nice teacher and is helpful, but his course is tough. He really makes you work and his assignments often took hours. If you are taking English 1B and are not good at writing essays, I would recommend a dif professor. You will learn a lot, but you will work a lot. I'm a straight A student and his course was a challenge, even for me.

All around great guy. He is funny, knowledgeable, personable, organized, and well-respected among students. As a teacher, he is very clear with what he expects from students and really knows what he is teaching. I'm not an English major but I thoroughly enjoyed his class and would highly recommend him.

I would take this class again. This was a hybrid class. Half of our homework and participation was done online. Try not to miss class because he does a lot of in class participation on moodle. You can loose out on a lot of points. Clear cut class just do the work he gives a lot of feedback.

Professor Ausubel is a phenomenal professor. He constantly offers you help, support, and feedback that actually improves your writing. He is brilliant in the subject and that's maybe why people find him difficult, but his class was so enjoyable over all, as long as you do all the work & use resources he offers, he is setting you up for success.

Avoid is possible. He will give you a lower grade if you write papers that have an opinion that do not line up with his. He tries to debate you with information that's factually incorrect. He has a hard time taking an objective approach. I would give him an F as a professor.

Horrible teacher!! He only wants papers to be from his point of view and no one else. He always has feedback on papers but most of the time its not relevant to what you wrote especially if you have a different perspective on a matter.
