An excellent personal coach and motivator but a pathetic professor. He inspires you to achieve big and is an excellent fit at an advisory board of a company, but lacks the effort needed in a good professor. I would hire him as a consultant for my company but never let him lecture for students.

Comment:
He is arrogant. A lot of time was spent on some unrelated stories (e.g., horrible government; why he always flies in business class, etc.). Half of the class is spent on the case analysis; IMHO, could be cut to 1/3, to give more theory. However, he forces you to think. The class is very demanding but very useful if you want to work in consulting.

Well, not easy class, yet if you have a motivated group that would meet every week for 3 hours, you would not only pass the class, but may obtain A+. Also, you need to read book chapters up to date. In group projects (5 cases), it is very important to understand the prof requirements: try one "free of mark" case (Cases 1 & 2) to get idea about it.

He is one of the worst professor I have ever had. He thinks he is a genius and the rest of the world has to listen to him. He does not help, he is totally subjective and you will pass if he likes you.

this course will give you only a look about managerial accounting without a real ability to analyse and make a decision. I wish if I would have taken this course with another professor so I would be able to build my MBA knowledge better.

I personally don't believe in "coaching" as a method of teaching . I took his class and unfortunately I can't consider myself good in managerial accounting. The assigned cases weren't relevant to the subject, he spent no time explaining the chapter that we were supposed to read and understand alone. I wish if I would have taken it with someone else

He's a talented teacher who love students who participate and want to learn. He use the method of the "learning coach". You're not an undergrad anymore so he doesn't want to teach you how to do things. If you commit to your assignments, you will learn everything and it would be easy. Never seen a teacher giving so much feedback and insights. A+

The small effort this teacher does is amazing. Offers an undergrad experience in an MBA-level course, with subjective marking schemes such as bonus points. Uses teaching methods which limit relevant teacher-student exchange. You rely on book and online tutorials to learn something. Doesn̢۪t respect grading scheme. Gives confusing remarks in class.

Comment:
Half of the class time is wasted on case presentations. Prof doesn't teach effectively; lack of exercises in class and book is not followed. Doesn't make students welcome to contribute. Lazy; claims to be your learning coach, but gives no extra help. Marks people unfairly and treats students unequally based on his personal perceptions.

Pointless prof. Pointless work. Would've learnt this on my own. The teacher puts more emphasis on looks and gifts then actual intellectual capacity/performance. Avoid class. If you cannot, avoid the teacher. If you cannot, drop and wait for next semester. If you cannot, switch major/minor. And if you still cannot do that, well, good luck...........

He is one of the worst. Which in Concordia is not uncommon :P He does not teach or explain clearly. No insights on material. All he has to offer are useless life lessons. Good for nothing! He's an Okay marker, but there were times he took off marks unjustly. If you're stuck with him, study on your own and splurge for a tutorial. RETIRE!

It could have been better if he tought some accounting rather cribing about the Mexico or Quebec government bribary and other stuff. His comments are very wierd and the way he is discussing things are based on his personal perceptions and wouldnt say he is a good professor may be an good accountant though.

Absolutely loved the course. Cases were very difficult and lots of work, but an incredible experience nonetheless. We have been shown and taught to recognize the big picture and real-world knowledge in this course. All too often, people only see whats in front of them, and this course showed that there is so much else to see. Great for life's work.

Very hard course. He spends a lot of time giving life lessons instead of teaching the material, which would be fine if the course wasn't difficult to begin with. If you ask for clarification on in class examples he tends to ignore you or laugh at you if you're not a student who kisses his ass every week in his office.

He's not so bad. The online quiz are hard as hell but you can have a good grade easily. The mid-term was average but the final... OMG, freaking hard. I got this teacher in a lecture class and it wasn't that bad. But like many others said, he's not very helpful... I still finished with B+ but if the final wasn't that hard, I could finished with a A!
